Maybe thus I don't understand how this is related to the theme.
I really like the styling and animations.
If you're impatient (which is fine :)) you can open up the console in your browser, which acts as universal translator. Control-shift-i in Chrome.
I didn't quite get the "Running out of space part" till I got to fitting the last object, nicely done!
-the peapod looking thing on the lower level was a bit of a red herring (and annoying to walk around), I thought I was supposed to lay my eggs there at first. Still don't know what that thing is supposed to be!
-why can't I just kill the dumb captain? (pulling the guy down made me think I could kill at will)
-method and apparatus for opening the airlock: patent pending :musical_note:
I did however encounter an odd edge case where somehow the player got stuck in the pea pods and couldn't move until I reset the game. It only happened once, so I assume it's a rare glitch.
Overall, very nicely done! It was a fun experience, and I wouldn't mind seeing this fleshed out further into a bigger game.
I had a lot of trouble understand what I had to do at first - maybe some instructions in english could help towards that. Then I found it was a decent, short point&click experience.
Good work ! :)
SPOILERS:
That one of the verbs was solely "lay an egg" was pretty confusing at first, since the other one was clearly "use x with y" - but I guess that was there just to, exactly, sow confusion :P I'm assuming the verbs were: interact, look (since it didn't do anything ever), lay egg x in thing y, and use x with y? Also, am I wrong or was the keycard not used at all?
Anyway, really great work!
Regarding the SPOILERS:
Yes, I think you got everything: Third verb is "OVIPOSIT" (actually misspelled OVOPOSIT), which means that. It's deliberately separate to be mysterious, since part of the joke is that aliens might consider this a fundamental action in their worldview. The second verb is "TALK" but it barely has any effect. Keycard is unused. There were a few things in the plan that I had to cut because I ran out of time, which is the reason for some of the loose ends. Thanks and thanks for playing! :)
A tip about spoilers. The markdown supports `!> Spolier`
!> Like this
But you need to leave extra blank line after a spoiler or else it will be included.
I couldn't open the grate and I couldn't pickup the weapon nor did I figure out how to drop anything so I got stuck. I would have liked depositing my eggs in warm bodies.
With regards to the language. Since the player is the alien, I think it would have made more sense and perhaps been more fun if I understood the alien but the human English was all weird.
