PirateSpaceCraft by Trystan-SARRADE

[raw]
made by Trystan-SARRADE for LD 42 (JAM)

You play as a Space gunsmith on a pirate spaceship. Your goal is to craft what your "Space Lord pirate" asks you. Explosives, ammunition, projectiles...

To do that, deposit objects in the machines present in the room. Press the button and... discover what other object it gives you in return !

Put dozen of objects into 4 differents machines to find what will get out of it. Find over 40 differents items.

Yea it's like a Sandbox game. Have fun finding out how to get Mr_Rock, the Very instable power shell or even the crystal of crypton (yea it's a real space thing you know) !

``` --- Controls --- WASD - Move Space - Jump E or MouseLeft - Pickup MouseRight - Throw Pause Menu - Escape
```

Was trying to play this but it seems W and A as well as Left Click do not work, so I was unable to progress just to let y'all know!

Great game and presentation. Controls appear to be set by default for ?French? keyboard layout? Have to rebind keys to US keyboard or game is unplayable. Most polished entry graphically and audio wise i have played so far :)
Stopped playing after i accidentally trashed magnet and it sucked me out trash chute into the void.

The keys don't work as in the txt, I managed to play using the arrow keys instead of WASD. The game overall was very fun and a good idea, but I missed a tutorial or a more clear way of showing things. I had to do too much trial and error (which I enjoyed) to be able to progress a little bit. Maybe when you are designing a game, you think something is obvious for the player and it isn't, so for the next time I'll try to work on that.

And finally, I couldn't complete the game because I fell from the world because I got caught in a conveyer belt, but overall it seemed a good work. Congratulations!

[------ Developer of the game here ------]

I just fixed the controls (from French keyboard to US keyboard).
Switching keyboard language as a French is very common. I didn't think about that before uploading the game.
I pushed an hotfix update. It should be working now.
I also fixed the bug when you could exit the map boundaries by falling into the item-deliver doorway.

Thank you for playing :)

Quite difficult to grab things from the merger, but in the end really really cool game. I mean, it is imaginative and crafting is my passion so I loved the mechanic a lot.

I didn't get far, but I really like the idea! Character controls are a bit floaty and the lighting could use some work. Other than that, it's a fun game with great potential! GJ! :)

I really enjoyed the game and it's mechanics, even if I did have to cheat a little to figure out how to craft ammunition. Graphically the best game I have played so far, enjoyed finding all the little easter eggs. Audio is nice too (really enjoyed the music coming from an item). Overall great job!

Great idea, and I really liked the graphics. It wasn't always clear what I had to do but I think this could be a really fun VR game with a little bit of extra polish after the Jam. Great job!
