Quite fun game, would have liked it to be a bit more challenging

Really loved that you made the first level impossible to complete if you just picked up all the coins, subtle use of negative learning space coupled with the quick respawn made this game rather enjoyable!
All in all, this is strong on both the theme and fun factor.

As a last suggestion, might I recommend SFXR to make small 8 bit era sound effects? it's really effective!.

This was a fun game! While getting to the exits wasn't difficult, getting a high score of coins is challenging. My high score was 48 coins.

@nodine Thanks! I had this idea of the challenge of "max number of coins" instead of "get all the coins" but I did not find ideas for it for most levels. I will think more about it when I remake the game, because yes, after the jam is finished there will probably be a remake.

I tried SFXR and its sequel BFXR, but I wasn't satisfied with the coin sound, so I quickly made something with FamiTracker because that's a tool that I know.

@ping78 Nice! You know you can restart a level by pressing R

Simple, but fun and well designed. I didn't manage to get a lot, but I finished it :)

It is really nice to play as you can collect a maximum of coins or just pass the levels, actually choosing your difficulty. I would have loved some indication of how many coins I actually can take. Maybe by stating that we can finish all levels with all coins (which would take down the "make a choice" principle of the game) or by stating the highest score possible at the very end of the very end, thus not giving too many hint, just saying "it can be done best".

I enjoyed the game, very good use of the theme! I would also have liked to know how many coins you can safely take every stage. But it was still fun to experiment myself with different approaches to collecting coins each level.

Also, old man Harpagon has ninja jumping abilities when not carrying anything, haha! And wow, those coins must be really heavy.

Way more than meets the eye! I like how you can move through the game at whatever pace you would like. Really cool little puzzler!

Simple and effective gameplay. Perhaps a lack of challenge? Very good work in 72h alone!

Nice platformer with a twist. Clean and complete little game. Using Flixel... oh the memories.

High score: 46 coins. Pretty sure if I was better at jump control on that last stage I could get a few more coins. Nice job including a stage reset button, so I could quickly retry if I noticed I made a mistake or got myself stuck.

A interesting little game. The graphics is cute, and sound effects is simple and okay. I would have liked a bit more levels and some more difficult levels. Overall a fine LD game.
