Loved the game. Graphics are super cute and the music really fits. Love the combination of Tower Defense and Slots! Great job, I'll probably check out some more of your games in the future!

Great entry! Incredible very strong sense of design and aesthetic, and a high level of polish. You should be proud!!

It's incredibly polished. The sounds, graphics and everything are very tight, I really liked it. The only problem is that it takes too long for the spin. It's cool the first few times, but since it's one of the main ways to get money (apart from the tower), it ends up consuming a lot of time. But it's fun and really well done.

Great tower defence game. I think not pause time when rolling will make it more challenging

@Teapoly That's a great suggestion! I am new to Tower Defense games so I kinda went easy on the player since there is a bit of RNG in the mix as well - but I will definitely consider this feedback for future updates! Thank's for your suggestion!

And here I thought your previous game was great, this one is even more fun! I must admit I spent a little too much time playing it hahah!

The art and sound design is great as always, and the gameplay is really fun. One thing I would like to suggest is to have a button that skip/fastforward the slot machine animation, because at a certain point it takes so long to roll all the tokens you have (especially since it keeps giving additional tokens). Other than that it's an exceptional game, great work!!

@Sholf Look at all that dosh! Thanks for playing so much! I am glad you enjoyed it!

Your suggestion is also something a few people have mentioned and adding the ability to click again and stop the slots is def something I can do in future updates!

WOW that UI design. Animations for everything are so juicy and the art looks great

tho tbh to echo what's been said, kinda really really really wanted to skip the slots animation haha

10/10 can't believe this was done in 3 days

Amaizing work guys. At first I thought that the spinning mechanic was abit broken but with time the game prove me wrong! Good job balancing and polishing.

Really well done, the animation and sound really make this a pleasure to play! As said previously, the rolling does get very tedious and I kinda wished it at least didn't pause the game so I could roll during the wave setup phases but sounds like you're going to be on top of this in an update! Definitely potential here for a full release!

Nice idea! :D I would add some things. This game definitely needs "speed up" button, because, at least at the beginning, enemies go sooooo slow. But overall - it was pleasure to play

I can keep playing this but it's bed time lol. it's cute, fun, and casual. only a speed up option would be better lol and calling in early waves

Definetly a polished entry! Love the "candy" style art. The game could be a bit more challenging though. Speed up button would be great also!

as mentioned above, very polished, feels like a finished game only if it was slightly more balanced, feels to easy at the moment, apart from that though EVERYTHING is super well done. The art, sound effects, music and mechanics, of all the games I've tested, defeinitely played this one the longest. (Still playing, so fun!)

Lots of polish in this game. Was perhaps a bit too easy early on, but certainly does ramp up! Really like the feedback and sfx for everything, has a good mood to it.

A very polished game, the combination of both themes is well thought! The artworks are really cute and the game feelings are perfect. A nice entry, great job!

Awesome design, but slots are too annoying, because they take too much time to gather coins. Thankfully there is a coin tower, I built 15 of those and didn't touch the slots. Had thousands of coins and hundreds of tokens which I didn't have to spend, too easy at that point.
The game teaches that slots are bad, that's good.

Nice entry with nice music and grapichs. I was able to reach more than 200 waves and then the game started to be so laggy. It is very funny and polished, but waves are way to easy. I loved tha money making towers, I feel like minning bitcoins, LOL. The cassino mechanics is nice, but it is too slow. I think this can be a very nice mobile game. Congratulations.

A very polished game! I really like the mood in the game, the soundtrack fits perfectly. Too bad RNG is never in my favor :D One thing though was that the waves were quite slow to move through, however if a wave was ended early then the towers didn't manage to take them down (e.g. the result was different without ending the wave early)

All in all very good game!

Really cute game!

Did the "End Wave Early" Button only speed up enemies? Because I found that I can kill them without speedup, but when I click the button they just run away without being killed.
🎤 FormalCloud
24. Apr 2018 · 14:26 UTC
@Crsrc @Tiberon The end wave early button was a last minute addition so that you could speed up the enemies if they got past your towers and you didn't want to wait on them to walk. (That's why it's a skull button) I would have loved to have configured the entire game to just 'speed up' but I ran out of time.

This is really a lot of fun to play. The polish is astounding. Is there a way to trigger next wave sooner? I'd also love to see more slot features (like 'hold' or combos). But it's already REALLY good!

Fan-freaking-tastic! What a great job overall. Your art style has always been appealing, and this is no exception. Only thing I think could really improve them game is if it didn't pause while you were spinning, because by the time I decided to quit I had like 50 spins but didn't feel like sitting there going through them all. :) Nicely done!

This was a cool entry, the art and UI are pretty sweet. The music and sound is solid as well. The gameplay is pretty good, a bit slow in some cases. I think there could be a couple things to speed up the gameplay, like a start next wave button or faster enemy movement speed/turret fire rate. The slot machine was pretty satisfying! I did notice a bit of a bug with buying turrets. I bought a frost turret and didn't place it (trying to choose a different turret to buy) and lost the gold but the frost turret also disappeared. Overall, a quality jam!

24. Apr 2018 · 16:17 UTC
@cileth Thanks for that feedback! There are a few UI issues that crept in, if you want to cancel your current tower just right click and it does it all for you - the menu shouldn't be accessible while you're placing the towers and I'll def look into these issues for future updates. :)

I might have gotten a bit carried away  The game started to lag a lot for me, I was kind of bummed I couldn't push to the point where enemies started threatening me again :P

@MarkoPoloDev Haha that's awesome - sorry about the lag! With HTML5 and game jam and all I never had a chance to really optimize it for this scale. At the request of some folks I am working on a new edition with better monsters, timing, and a ton of performance improvements so that should be available in the near future! :)

**Great game and awesome concept!** But for me there is few moments that I strongly dislike (maybe because this game so cool - the reqirements so hight)

1) Rulette mechanic works bad. First of all is fails. Sometimes I have 6-7 fails in a row. 3 fails - normal. There is about 50/50 fails and wins. If there is no fail but SMALL amount of money (say 5) there will be more positive. Hight percent of fails annoying a lot.

2) Gold towers is imbalanced. Wnen you've build 4-5 - there is no motivaition to play rulette. Rulette supplyes to player gold for ONLY for "startup" because it takes more time (2sec per play) and effective only for 10-20% to got some gold. So when player builds gold tower - rulette not neeeded.

3) BUT rulette has another one resource type - heart, which really I never needed. All 60 waves too weak for my towers defence.

4) I don't know is it bug or not but when I speedup the wave - all my towers shoots one time and waiting for wave end. This strange thing seriously twists the upgrade system. Each level incraces the towers range. So when I speedup wave they shoots on distant targets even if it not needed. So mor eeffective tacticts is to build 1-st level turrets across roads. Looks as broken mechanic design =)

**I've build every square of filed XD**

Anyway, man, **I really like this game** and spent about 1-2 hours to play, really enjoyed it! Visually game looks sweet and music awesome to. Thanks for this entry!

I really enjoyed this game. As usual, your art is charming and looks really polished. The music does fit with the general visual style, which is great. :)

Your game was able to make the weird combo of tower defense and casino slots work. Good job!

suuuper incredibly polished, which i appreciate a lot. great art style. the gameplay however fell kinda flat. i really loved the gampling and upgrading, but the enemies don't ever really get harder. after a couple fires or really any amount of offensive towers, you can stop buying them. And at that point, as seen from many of these comments, it just becomes a game of buying as many money towers as you can until you get bored
besides that,it's really nice and clean for a ludum dare game. nice job!

Everyone has already said it, but I'm saying it anyway!! This game is really polished!!

Also, I'm not very lucky with the slot machine.

Pretty enjoyable game! Very well polished and fun!
My complain would be that the pace is rather slow and that the slot machine becomes useless once you lay down enough coin towers. Especially since the game is so easy that you barely need to use it for hearts.
There is a button to make the wave end early but how does it work? It seems like the towers shoot at regular speed while the enemies go twice as fast. Not sure if intended.

Also, it started to lag at some point; I don't know if it's just me though but from the comment it doesn't seem so

@Kwisarts Thanks for your feedback! Let me address a few issues (most were due to time limits of the jam)

1) The speed u/wave endp mechanic was broken. Towers didn't match correctly.

2) The pacing/balance was not great, my biggest flaw in the design. This was my first Tower Defense game and I had 0 experience with them so I sided on caution and that made the pacing more slow than they needed to be.

3) Due to jam time limits and so much UI work needing done I didn't get a lot of time for optimization - especially with HTML5. With that come cases of lag for some people depending on their browser, system, and total towers out.

Good news is, every single one of these issues has been addressed and greatly improved upon for the polished post-LDJAM release that is going through closed beta testing as we speak - and will be available sometime in May. :)

Really nice visuals and super polished entry.

I was wondering why you didn't allow players to spend cash on the slots machine. Also, a faste slots animation/skip button or even auto-roll would come in handy.
