Chambers by RemiCraft
This is our first ever Ludum Dare and game jam. We had a lot of fun making this and learned a lot.
Chambers is a game about being stuck in a warehouse-like environment while a creature hunts you down. Doors Lock behind you when you leave a room, making your escapes from the Creature harder and harder.
CONTROLS-
WASD to move
Right Mouse Button to toggle the flashlight
Walk over items to pick them up
To use keys, walk through a locked door.
Known Issues: - The timer does not stop on Gameover - Keys do not show up on HUD but they do work - The Creature sometimes gets stuck in the doors - The lighting is too bright causing the flashlight to have no use
Bug Fixes (Post Time): - Fixed the Creature clipping through the shelves. - Re-Baked the NavMesh so the Creature can continue to follow the player through doorways.

I'm not sure what the use of the flashlight is. I can see pretty well even with it switched off, and as far as I can tell the creature is unaffected by it? Or if it is doing something to the creature, I never noticed.
Can you escape the warehouse? I couldn't find a way out. Good submission!
Congrats on ur first game jam entry and i say that as a fellow first timer.
I got to a room with no more exits and happened to got stuck in it, and the creature didn't seem to chase me either. Love the mood of it~
Well actually, the game is creepy but the monster is not scary. I played and died multiple times without being able to see the monster so I decided to not play and just look around for the monster and he didn't look scary tbh (good for me).
The music is nice and has a eerie feeling and the footsteps made me feel stressed (I felt as if the monster will hear me). I think adding some sound to the monster will make the game scarier and will help the player know that the monster is near.
Overall, it is a nice entry and the idea is a great base for a horror game. Good job.
I stayed in one of these rooms for about 10 minutes on the clock and waited to see if the cat thing would come into the room, but it did not.
I wanted to report this in case this is a bug of which you are not aware.
I didn't determine what the goal of the experience was. I outran the cat, but it didn't seem like there was a set time which would end the game. I walked around and tried to pick up objects but when I walked over things I got no confirmation that I'd picked an item up. I expected to press a key to pick it up or hear a sound when it was collected. I also would have liked a confirmation to appear on the screen to communicate what item was picked up, and maybe give me a clue as to why I wanted to pick it up in the first place.
What is the goal of this experience?
Is there something I need to find to complete the experience, or is it just a time attack for how long you can last running away from the cat thing?
Thank you for sharing your game.
Like @saoi-games said above, I got stuck in a room with no doors. I did figure out that the key allows me to escape from those rooms, but I had to feel along the walls to get to one, since they blended with the walls so well. I'm also not sure how we can win or lose, since the Creature doesn't seem to speed up and the timer never ends?
Overall it was a solid title and you should be proud of your efforts! I gave it a 2.5/5.
