I really enjoyed how you used the same sprites for both ocean and sand but with diffrent pallets like the clouds and bushes in Super Mario Bros. I also the smooth scrolling was a nice suprise. I expected from the very Zelda look for the game to have the same Zelda snap style camera so I was very suprised when some areas didnt have it. I'm pretty sure some of your sprites are straight rips from Zelda (specifically the sword I believe is the same as the Magic Sword). Regardless of what I say its really amazing you where able to get all this stuff done in 48 hours for the NES.","likes":0,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld43\/132850-2e5387fbe8412e13667a1991f1ca1423.png"],"links":[{"url":"https:\/\/github.com\/cfrantz\/ld43\/releases\/download\/v1.0.0\/ld43.nes","text":"Nintendo Entertainment System\/Famicom"},{"url":"https:\/\/github.com\/cfrantz\/ld43\/","text":"Source code"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"47376","g_author":"1001565","g_event":"LD43","g_eventkey":"71","g_subevent":"COMPO","g_urlkey":"245400","g_title":"NES Quest","g_status":"USEAR3","g_place":"99999","g_commentcount":"1","g_site2_node_id":"132850","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"132850","n_urlkey":"245400","n_parent":"120415","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/43\/nes-quest","n_slug":"nes-quest","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"compo","n_author":"1565","n_created":"1543803169","n_modified":"1543806578","n_version":"386698","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":132850,"parent":120415,"superparent":9,"author":1565,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"compo","published":"2018-12-03T02:15:21Z","created":"2018-12-03T02:12:49Z","modified":"2018-12-03T03:09:38Z","version":386698,"slug":"nes-quest","name":"NES Quest","body":"# Ludum Dare 43: Sacrifices Must be Made\n\nIn keeping with my \"abuse of the theme\" motif, I present *NES Quest*, because\nprogramming for the NES is like sacrificing your sanity.\n\nThis is not a complete game: my ambition exceeded my preparedness and the\navailable time, but this is a playable demo.\n\n## *NES Quest* Playable Demo\n\nQuest through the land, searching out and collecting the components to repair\nyour NES: Find the 6502 CPU, the PPU, the RAM chip and the 7404 Inverter.\n\nWatch out for Spiders, Grumps and Skulls.
