This game features online high scores!

See the full table here

Note: The highscore system is based on an existing API

You have triggered the apocalypse. Everyone is salty about it. Fight them off and prevent their revenge before the storm cloud reaches you and engulfs the world in darkness.

final-level-4.gif

You have a base, which you can pick up and move around to better collect ore and to protect it from the other survivors. They also have bases. Destroy them.

final-test.gif

You can't fire when you are holding ore or your base. When you set your base down, make sure it is out of harm's way. Scorpions and other survivors will try to destroy it if you let your guard down.

You share a health bar with your base.

Further instructions are in game.

Have fun!

Note: The source contains a different id for the highscore system, to prevent score tampering.

Updates: Since the compo, the option to close the game with the escape key from any screen has been added. No option to exit the game from the menu existed before.

Fun arcade game. Was initially confused because I thought I was dying, but I was actually winning the levels (the animation that plays sure looks like a game-over animation to me). Gets pretty hectic. The thing that worked least well for me was that I could barely see my aiming cursor when there was lots of stuff happening on-screen, but that may be part of the point.
Thanks for making a high score table so that I could see that I am the BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD (of three players :sunglasses:).
I was sad that I couldn't put a number in my name, and it was also strange that I couldn't figure out how to exit the game from the main menu (had to kill it in the task manager)!

WOO, that's fun!

Music and atmosphere are amazing. I really like the mix of the spam-click realm of the mad god feel with having a home base.

I can't believe you also got an online scoreboard working too, that's amazing.

Honestly sooo good! Was seeing your updates throughout the event and am really impressed with end result. Really enjoy how the start menu not only shows you how to play, but requires you to demonstrate it just a little to proceed. Was getting carried away before I realized the them was present and kicking in. I love the simple graphics theme, but there are some moments and text that are a little difficult too see without definition/contrast. Love the splash page too.

Turns out those gifs weren't lying, this game's great! It's like a battle royale + rts + top-down shooter cocktail mix and it's delicious!

*quick edit of constructive feedback inbound*

The menu can be a bit confusing, it took me a while to realize that the "items" in the text meant the menu buttons (they're not really buttons but... you know).

@ajayajayaj The online scoreboard isn't that amazing :P I have an api on my server and all I need to do is accept http requests and parse csv. I'll make a note of that in the description.

Nice game, good graphics and music ! Everything is well polished and the mechanics are fun. The game could use more weapons or interaction with your base, but overall it's pretty great !

Nice game! A bit hard to understand how the menu works at first, but once you get it... ^^

Amazing graphics! Love the audio as well, and I like how you can trace down your opponents. Congrats on the great job!

AI and visual effects work is quite impressive. Have you considered adding some kind of minimap to the game?

I really want to beat @valden's highscore somehow. Here is my playtest:

Cool game :) As it's been said the game menu was not really intuitive but at least it teaches you the mechanic XD It's simple enought to be solid and addictive, I love your minimalist artstyle as usual and small details that makes it awesome such as footprints. Good take on the theme, fitting with the gameplay and colors. The target would be a little bit more visible as it gets hard to focus with screenshots but I guess it's part of the fun XD scoreboard is great and makes it even more addictive :)
Great !!!

Waw this game is so nice! I enjoyed it a lot. The controls feels smooth and easy to understand and master. The graphics are cute and I like how the game gets a bit messy toward the end when the sand comes and the enemies are close to you. Great job!

Amazing take on BR games, was action packed and very fun, with non-pixel art and multiplayer it could become an amazing mobile game

Good Job!!!

Amazing execution, I always am excited to see your entry. I loved how I didn't know I could move the base until I saw an enemy doing the same action, I thought that was a great moment. You have really perfected the art of gamejams.
