What to do when you run out of lights? Sit comfortably, your blind date is about to start.

In The Blind Date you have to draw "spells" to help you communicate during an awkward conversation.

Cute game, the timing was a bit challenging for the warthog part, took me a couple tries- I ended up passing it on an attempt that seemed to cover a lot less than my previous attempts. The voice acting was really great and kept me invested in completing the game. The music at the end is perfect

It took me a bit to warm up to the drawing, but I really enjoyed this tale! The light expanding as you talked was interesting, but I figured out what the reveal was as soon as the characters started talking about their fears.

Wow ! This is really an interesting game, and you really want to know the next part of the story ! But the controls are not intuitive at all and it makes the game harder than it should be, I'd rather hold my clic to draw :(

Anyway it's a really cool game, good job !

Awesome game! I had fun playing it =). As meta-link said, I tather hold the lmb to draw, but once I got the hang of it I could play smoothly.
The Audio was really well placed, the ambient sound (I heard brazillian chatter?) was soothing and so the voice acting.

Great job

I found it a bit dificult to get used to the drawing mechanic, specially since you had to click to "switch between modes", seemed as it would be more intuitive to draw while the mouse button is down.
Both the artistic aspect of the game abd the voice acting were really well made.

Just a word of explanation - during the development of this game I had access only to a laptop's touchpad, and it was almost impossible to play/test when I had the "hold to draw" mechanic, so I've changed it. Think about the poor souls without mice out there! :D

Really great game with original concept, nice voice acting too. The drawing mechanic is bit hard to grasp at first but then it's fine

Fun idea for a game, just like others i had to train myself not to expect to draw with the mouse button down. I like the art style and voice actors were great to. I installed your linux build you forgot to add one library to your install instructions though "liballegro-video5.2" was missing

The best voice acting in the whole LD, I think. Not that I saw too many entries with it, but still. :D The gameplay was an interesting idea to the overall concept, although a bit laggy on my potato laptop, which made it unnecessarily hard. Funnily enough, only the drawing recognition part was freezing from time to time, once/twice per drawing phase, was perfectly smooth aside from that. But I know that jams don't allow you to optimize the code as much as you'd want to, so this's more of a future reference in case you decide to expand on the concept and make a bigger game out of it. Cheers for using Allegro btw. Good luck and well done!

Was impossible on PC, but finished it on my Android device. The game's really much better suited to touchscreen than to mouse.

It's short, and honestly somewhat wtf? Still an achievement and overall a nice little thing.
