Escape by henriksoderberg

[raw]
made by henriksoderberg for LD 40 (COMPO)

My first Ludum Dare game !

Game

Modify gravity of planets to control the path of the pod. Your goal is to reach the orange planet.

Goal

My only goal for the event was to make a remotely playable game and actually submitting it.

Technologies used

  • Unity
  • Aseprite
  • Audacity

Build - WebGL hosted on github pages.

Notes

Although my game does not fit the theme that well, the event was a success for me. I had fun and learned a lot about game development, and thats what really counts right? Headphone users: the menu sound might be loud

PS. I am proud of my abomination

I liked this, I love those kind of game where you get to play with gravity and all. The levels aren't too hard nor too easy and I think you got a nice progression curve. The graphics match the game quite nicely, maybe could have some improvement but more then enough for the game. good job :3

I like it. The selection of planets can use some work. I cannot see clearly whether or not I have selected the planet. Maybe add a thicker outline around selected planets?

Wow~ It's very imaginative , it reminds me of a lyric.
"Newton wants us all to live on the ground , but i want to fly" (from a Chinese song..)
I love it .

Cool little game! The game played well and the gravity mechanic was smart, though it would have been nice if you built more on that idea. A nitpick I have is that when I select a planet and scroll, it would be hard to tell whether I was at max gravity so an indicator like flashing or changing colour would have made it easier.

Good job on submitting it!

Well done, the gravity worked well. I feel like the controller were a bit weird but overall pretty good

Yeah good game. I didn't know how to beat one level with 6 planets. Nice that they can move! Hmmm...audio doesn't worked for me

Fun game! Made it to the end and wished there were more. :) An interesting twist on gravity/slingshot games.

hide skip button. I think it should be some challenge and make gravity power bigger. but at all i liked idea. good

Very fun, great idea. Controls are easy to understand and the physics are quite fun. Also quite liked that launch sound effect ;) Some music would be cool, but overall very nice!

Really liked that gravity aspect of your game.

Also the soundeffect of launching this thingy into orbit was quite cute, and the menu music was really good actually. Pretty neat little game I must say :)
