This looks cool, but unfortunately I can't try this out because I don't have anyone to test it with :/

@jeke It looks like the download is at the bottom of the itch.io link?

Is there a mac build?

@earnso no :(, sadly it only works on windows because we had to use some windows dll to map keyboard positions.
@jeke @katie-dover download is on itch.io page!

Thx everyone

Thanks @atillagallio. Did you update the post to include the link or was it there the whole time?

The Ludum Dare site has been extremely wonky for me lately.

I love the concept of this game! It's so simple and intuitive yet unique and innovative. It's a great multiplayer twist to the floor disappearing mario party style minigames. The game is also extremely well polished for a jam game; it's got solid animations and sound design for every aspect of gameplay.

Overall, I would highly recommend the game!

If you have friends online, I believe you can play the game using Parsec https://parsecgaming.com/, though I haven't tested it myself.

I love the idea with the keyboard! Nice idea. I played just with one person so it was quite easy!

It's very creative and original! Had a lot of fun playing it. On one-on-one, however, it's really hard for the alien.
Thanks for the great submission!

I can't download and play the game. You should put links here on this page. Also the "Download" button on itch.io doesn't download the game.

@plukers We did not have a lot of time to balance everything, so we did focus on making it better for the aliens the more aliens were playing, but we will definitely try to make it more balanced.

@fork0 I don't understand how is this possible, the download link on itch.io seems to be working on all computers I tested. Can you try again to make sure? Thanks!

Wait I got there eventually - missed the bit about space. Couldn't properly test as I've got no player 2 but I think I got the gist. It's got a high level of polish with things like the screen shake.

Seeing as i have no one to play this with i couldn't play it, however i understand what you were going for - a mario party-esk like minigame with the floor disappearing under the players, limiting their space. I like that idea and it is a good fit to the theme. However, i found the graphics underwhelming, with the floor looking like a default unity cube, and the sparkling stars just looking like a default particle effect from unity. However the background was interestingly detailed.
I couldn't judge the game's controls, as i don't have a controller handy, so overall this game looks like it would be fun to play, but i have to judge it from what i can gather.

Hey ! For some reason I can't really play the game. Once it launches, I see the level getting built up then .. Nothing, and nothing seems to work. Am I missing something ? Would love to play your game, I'm probably missing something !
Also, do you think it would be possible for you to make a video of you playing the game ? Since it's multiplayer I'd love to see that, if you ever got time !
Music is groovy atm, loving it :P

Hey @demn, @player-2 and @s-knight you can play with keyboard only if you have a number pad. To start the game you'll need at least one player to join (press the jump button), and a portal will appear. Once a player joins you can press space bar to start the game. It really feels unintuitive, will definitely change this in a later version.

OKay thanks you, I got the game to work ! This is a really interesting idea, indeed working as a Mario Party game with assymetric gameplay. I haven't been able to play a real game with other players but the jump mecanic feels really good, much like in a Mario Party; it's not clunky or anything.
It's a nice bet to actually make a multiplayer game on a LD, so congratulations for that :)

It would be great if you had bots, just to show off the concept. Or am I the only one playing ld games alone?

Nice production values my only gripe is that neither my Swedish keyboard nor my UK keyboard quite have the layout suggested here :)
