Veggie Tales 2.0 Confirmed?

I think you can still live even if you run out of water. Also, there seems to be a limit to how far you can fall. Also, I didn't know there was gravity in space. I like the creativity.

I like the look and feel of this game with the sound and the graphics working together. It's quite odd and menacing but has a a very strong feel about. Personally I didn't feel like there was anything compelling me forward to keep playing. I think four is a bit to many resources to have to manage for a game like this. Nice work.

Positive:
* I liked the pixeled visuals.
* Interesting homing missile trajectories.

Negative:
* I missed a clear objective to continue playing other than moving arround and picking items.
* The controls feel a bit unresponsive.

Great work though!!

I liked the art and the general mood of the game, and the tracing and explosions of the homing missiles are pretty cool to look at. Gameplay wise, I don't really see an objective visible to the player, and it is a shame as there is potential there. I also had difficulty with jumping, as it felt delayed and made gameplay hard at parts on ships. Overall though, good job and good luck!

Good look, music was appropriately depressing. Sounds were jamOK. Jump mechanics could use a little tweak? Nice concept, decent execution.

The look and feel of the game was really nice to me, initially, and the overall concept is a really good one too: managing and scavenging resources while lost in space, but I felt it lacked something after I started playing it.

If the background has the possibility of having white stuff (stars, for example), try to put a border on the text, specially the title screen, make it fully readable, first impressions are always important! ;)

The controls felt a bit sluggish and jumping, when inside the main ship, felt a bit too much delayed. Also, while it does have a really nice minimap, it's still easy to get lost, specially if you distance yourself too much from the main ship. Put some direction indicator or something like that! ;)

By balancing some points and giving it a polish, you'll have a really nice game to work upon. :)

Good job there! ;)

The graphics were good and easy to read, and the music was simple but set the mood appropriately. I like the idea of being able to choose systems to disable at the start so that you can control which resources you need to scavenge for. Controls were good for the most part, but there's a small pause from pressing jump to the character jumping that sometimes bothered me. The missiles were also difficult to deal with when several of them appeared at once. I think it would be an improvement if each missile took a single shot to destroy.

Either way it's an impressively complex game given the time constraints! Great job!

This is a very cool looking game. But, I experience pretty big lag. Great Job though.

Hey, good job, the concept of your game is good, but i think you could work more on the collisions and the controls.

Nice game and the mechanics are kinda new. I enjoyed playing it but to be honest it became a little boring fast. I think it needs more action may be. But the concept is very new and interesting and you made so much in a little time. Well done :)

P.S If you would like to check my game that would be great. Thanks :)

The game is great !
The rockets can easily detect you and the concept is great .
However the music is off-tone . Try learning a key ( Do Major uses only white keys ) and stick to it .
Best wishes !

Wow, a survival/exploration game concept working great with this theme? That was impressive! I enjoyed it a lot. Congrats!

The game was very fun, especially the dodging/shooting of the rockets, but I felt that it lacked a clear goal to work towards. I think it may also have been good to add more variety to the environment as you explore further out. The graphics and music were great and fit together well, however the text on the start screen was difficult to read on top of the stars.

You seem to have made the jump action work only when the space key is released instead of when it is pressed, which made it feel unresponsive, but it shouldn't be a difficult fix.

The game is a realluy good starting point, I think it just needs to be polished a bit more.

I, too, wasn't quite sure what was the goal but hey, my own game didn't have one, really ;) I liked the music and graphics :)

Omg 30 minutes to go!
Good luck making it to the 20 rating line!

1 vote from me!

And nicely done btw ;-)

Took me a few minutes to figure out what to do - but turned out nicely in the end. Is there actually a way to "win" or do you just survive indefinitely?
