Nice
could had an anti spam mechanic cause i could do pretty well by spamming the left click just in front of the character

Funny idea! It really fits the theme, and it's a fun game overall! That being said, the controls could use a little work. It's almost impossible to click the arrows while they are moving, and the abcd keys are spread all across the keyboard, making it impossible to use them. Maybe WASD would have been a better idea. Anyway, I love the graphics, and the music is pretty great! Great job, and happy coding!

Cheers!

Extremely cruel subject matter but I grinned the entire time I was playing it. What I noticed is that it's much harder to keep clicking the right arrows when the character is going upwards.

I love the creativity here with the music! It sounds like little pitfalls and really fits in with the mood. At times I wished the hitbox on the arrows was just a tiny bit bigger. Personally I would rather lose because I wasn't fast enough rather than because my aim was off by a bit. But all in all I really love what y'all have done with the concept! It's a bunch of fun and a great entry for the theme.

[edit]: Hitboxes feel fine as long as you click more on the inside of the ground

I really like the simple but cute graphics. Sound is really nice as well. While the game mechanic is pretty basic, it fits the theme perfectly.

Nice music and super clean art, I liked it. That one single hoppy sound got kinda repetitive fast...

The falling platforms was quite pointless functionality overall. For first few seconds, it was a spamming check but it didn't matter at all since the beginning was so easy anyway and past that spamming wasn't punished at all. And them falling was also an annoyance if Dora just decides to do a U-turn and retrace their steps back to the falling ones.

It was also quite hard if not impossible to where the character is going to turn to. It having total freedom of movement while the visual presentation only shows four directions didn't make it any easier. And the difficulty overall was heavily reliant on RNG.

All in all, good job!

@m-dam Don't worry. Dora just drops down to 'reality' and is sent to school. :)

@koala-squad Thank you for your feedback. Actually, the ABCD was only meant to represent the four corners, they are not controls at all. We can only click to create a new ground. But now that you mention it, I see how the help screen may have been confusing. We'll keep this in mind for our next game.

This is a great idea. The control system doesn't really fit well with a mouse imo but would probably work great on a smart device.

Liked it a lot. It's awesome that you implemented a high score system, it really kept me motivated! But eventually my hand got too tired and I didn't manage to get to #1 :)

Simple, effective and addictive ! What else ?
Maybe a mobile version would be a really nice idea.
(PS : +1 bonus points for the Aerosmith's reference ?)

Simple and really fun game! After a while you only need to click every arrow and watch for the rocks but it is still fun to play. Great sound effects. Well done.

Thanks a lot for playing our game guys! We really appreciate it.

@nicso Thanks for the feedback :). I agree. Now that I've played it some more, I realized that the difficulty should have been increased up a notch.

@antti-haavikko Very much appreciate the in-depth review. I feel like platforms not falling would've made things really boring if Dora turned around and kept on running on the already placed platforms. But the other stuff make a lot of sense. You really have an eye for game design.

@raiponz Haha, yes! Our musician is a huge Aerosmith fan.

Nice entry, its a simple idea that can work really well as a mobile game. If I may suggest, I think addding something that the player picks to justify why its moving would make it more enjoyable overall.

Great job on this entry. It's a lot of fun to play, and it feels like the difficulty ramps up at a good pace. My big problem was judging the rocks' hitboxes. Both of my high score runs died to a tricky rock that I didn't time the jump correctly. I did manage to get second place on the leaderboard, though :) I also found that if you play for a long time the music stops, which was a shame because I really enjoyed it.
