I like the concept of the game. It was a bit puzzly for a change which my tired brain did not take well however I really enjoyed it. Coll and unusual artwork dude. Keep it up!

Although it was kind of short, the game was really cool! The artstyle is really unique and the concept of the game is really nice. Would love to know when more levels are added :D

Concept was fun! Art style is kind of refreshing and unique. Title is on point. Fair amount of levels too --- room to improve on some of the polish/hitboxes

No rate for audio because I don't have headphones at the moment, might come back for that later!

The artwork and the music brings this game to a whole new level, good job!

Concept was good. Except I couldn't figure out how to shoot so I kinda gave up.

@oriondark7 thanks for the feedback just added a controls list to the itch page - shoot (spit) is right shift

@jeremy-ryan thanks for your feedback!, glad you enjoyed it. some of the hitboxes are super thick because the player would go through platforms sometimes (Im going to try and figure out a better way to deal with that but didn't have time during this jam) good to know that people have run into that in game though. also haha that's ironic, I am primarily a musician and sound designer.

@jonahsenzel Came back for you, friendo! Particularly like the walking sound :)

Totally relate on the "didn't have time during this jam" ... always features/fixes you don't get to. I had a list of like 20 items for the last day, of which I got to about 5.

Good luck with the rest of rating!

Loved the artstyle and especially the music. It was very calm and chill. The puzzle mechanics were a nice touch, although I didn't always seem to know what the exact point of the level was. I unfortunately got stuck on one of the further levels, but that's okay. Also (you probably know this) but the character glitches through walls quite a bit, not really a problem though. Good job on this, and thanks for making a LD game!!

@virtual-turtle-studio thanks for playing and feedbacking! yeah actually that was one of the more annoyi.ng issues - unity's collision was being annoying with going through walls but the only way I could seem to fix it was by making walls super thick, which in turn would lead to messy colliders like someone mentioned earlier. out of curiosity do you know which level you got stuck on? always looking to see where puzzle mechanics can be imporoved

@jonahsenzel yeah Unity can be a pain with that :^) uhmmm, it was a level where there were two red pieces with one blue piece in the middle. The left red one held 2 enemies and the right red one held 1. The blue middle one held a few. I couldn't figure out how to kill the most right enemy...

Visuals remind me a bit of Amanita Design games (Samorost, Botanicula, Chuchel) - very well done.

Really nicely done. Would love to see a post jam version with tighter collision detection and making more use of the puzzle wall mechanic!

I'm missing the link to the source.

The way the keyboard handling is done seems to break when using the mac standalone version (e.g. jumps don't jump, and keyrepeat goes weird). Also: is double jumping in the html5 version intended? and if not, one of the middle puzzles gets you stuck.

@monkeydom hm just tried it, got a bug once then relaunched and it worked? try doing highest resolution on ultra (shouldnt be very system intensive) I think it might be a resolution thing. Thanks for playing! also thanks for catching that looks like my source didn't upload correctly - it's on itch now

I really like the artstyle of this game! Unfortunately it doesn't seem to behave nicely with faster refresh rate monitors but still enjoyable.

Wonderful art and music, and I like your take on the theme. I did run into some hitbox issues, but it's compo so anything finished is a win in my book! Good job!

@wiredoverload thanks! if you're using the web version try downloading, that fixes some other issues

Great game. I really like the style and mood. It feels super coherent, and it feels like you really executed on the vision you had. I can imagine this being developed into a larger game.

I think I have the same issue as @wiredoverload but was playing the web version. I can literally run through walls, lol.

Beautiful hand-crafted game with a nice twist !

Pros :
- Beautiful hand-drawn graphics
- Relaxing soundtrack
- Some great gameplay challenges as soon as the first levels, made possible by the good controls
- Lots of content

Cons :
- The physics of the player are good, if a little fast
- Erratic behavior of some platforms

Overall, nice work !

@ctrble @batmanasb yeah unfortunately hitboxes were weird - either had to make them super thick so you couldn't fly through em or thinner so you wouldn't run in to invisible walls - thought I struck a decent balance while testing but I think the built version fared worse. I think there's a solution to be found within the unity physics settings/scripting but I spent a while searching during the jam and then had to move on to other stuff. Thanks for playing!

@cr0w Thanks! I actually got stuck on a train for the first hour or so of the jam so I just looked up the theme and wrote/sketched in my notebook. Most of the main stuff came from that brainstorming. In a way it was super useful to have some forced time away from a computer before starting, might even make myself do this before future jams

I kind of like the very odd physics behaviour and high speed in this, at first it felt strange, but started to grow on me as I played along. You just naturally start playing with the odd physics rules as part of the game. Not to say it did not get frustrating at times however, but the levels where generally very small and it was very quick to restart, a fair solution.

The style itself is lovely! The "real-hand-drawn-on-real-paper" style really takes it somewhere else, and would really not have been as enjoyable without it. It also helps, I think, forgive/make sence of the odd physics.

A great entry! Thanks for making it.
