This is my first submission for ludum dare 42 Theme :Running out of space.

The game is about not getting buried alive by Boxes Or Take to much damage from spiked boxes and reach the exit at the top.

There was a lot of stuff planed like a wider variety of boxes, power ups, story, sound but i underestimated the time dose things would take so a lot is missing.

Controls: - Esc = Pause/Menu - A, D, L.Arrow, R.Arrow = left right movement - Space = Jump - Space + Space = Double jump - Shift + Space = SuperJump (Usefull if you get Stuck/buried) You only get 3 no UI - R = Quick Restart

Haha my friend very inovativ! Love your pixle art style. Game is pretty stressful. Game and theme fet together:) Good job my friend. Could do an android reales on playstore;)

It's really fun to play :) It was very satisfying to be able to jump a few boxes.
The concept is really cool and unpredictable, you should take to the next level.

It's well made, the physics are right and the movement is good. However, I don't feel like the double jump is that useful, I don't get any extra height from it. Also, I wish the gameplay actually took up more the screen, it's weird how your character and everything you do is so small.

The art is really good, I love this pixel art style. Great job with that.

In the UI, it's a good practice change the "Constant Pixel Size" dropdown to "Scale with screen size". Doing this the UI will not be cutted of form screen. But it's a funny game

Missing audio thou. Also, i think the controls are not very responsive.

@aszu I was not able to include audio, i have never made audio before so i underestimated the time it would take to code in and create. As for the controls i guess it just comes down to the person :frog:

Liked the concept and the controls. I missed some UI, specially the height you reached when you lose.

This was a lot of fun! Trying to stay on top of the boxes made for a very frantic and compelling experience. While you may not have gotten everything done that you set out to, you did manage to make a complete, fun, game. So good job on prioritizing correctly to get that done. Nice job!

It was hard but I did it. It took me 15 attempts or more to get it. It certainly the most replaybale game in this LD so far. New intersting idea and good implemetaion. Your game make me play again and agian. I think it is indicator of excellent game.

Sorry for the late reply my dudes, been busy with other stuff :frog::gun:

@nick-rafalski @korso this being my first jam its nice to hear that my choice of focusing on gameplay payed off. I am really frustrated that i didn't push my self harder to give you guys the UI and Audio that the players of my game dessverre i promise i will do better next time i Jam.

@wetbox I original wanted this to be kind of a endless game kind of thing, the higher you got the more points but due to time constraints i was unable to make it and was forced to put inn a last minute Exit(so bad art HA). So when you say its very repayable it warms my soul :ghost: , thank you so much for playing my game 2x :clap:

This Jam i have learned from feedback and playing other games that even the simplest of sound and UI go a very long way. Spending time on features that you cant 100% implement is a waste of time. Dont mess with code/ moving things right before deadline. Prepare before the jam so you dont waste valuable time installing or reading tutorials :frog: :gun:.
hopefully one day will be able to share a full game with the people that played my first game. Thank you all for playing my game :video_game: :gun: :frog:

Fun and interesting game. I just think that the camera should be a bit more zoomed in.
