I just think that you should make a better feedback for the rocks falling from the sky (like arrows points from where they are coming, per example). But its still a very cool game, good job!
Humans are pretty squishy, so I don't blame him but being taken out so fast. I think however the combination of rather large hitboxes and one-hit-kill felt a bit harsh!
I also managed to get out of bounds by gallantly traversing the beastie on the right, which was pretty funny. At least the man is safe out in the void?
Once I got a handle on things I managed to survive a fair while. I really like the concept, nice job! :D
If you wouldn’t mind having a quick go of my entry and letting me know what you think I would be grateful. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/space-pow-collins
* Some earlier commenters asked for a life bar, while others mentioned that you can only survive one hit; it's not actually clear to the player whether you have health that goes down every time you get hit, or if you just die immediately if you're hit *just* right, and are otherwise unharmed.. Whichever one is correct needs to be obvious.
* The game's environment doesn't really change over time; something that might help maintain interest is if the rubble piled up rather than disappearing, and you had to keep climbing on top of it as more rubble fell.
* If you plan to expand the game, you might consider having different stages, with the robot hero fighting various monsters in various weird locations, which the hapless player character is for some reason stuck in.
All that said, I liked the visuals, the audio, and the overall concept. Good job!
