This is a terror game. I had to try a lot of times before winning because I think I played with low fps for a simple game. So it was hard to move around with shift 😖, later I found that playing with very low instead of ultra gives similar graphics and a huge improvement (please change default settings ) . Also the golem is fast and I don't know when he had seen me. 🤔 I would add some kind of step sound or danger music when the golem notices you

Whilst writing relatively sophisticated line of sight detection would be a tall order for a jam, the golem does seem to go for you within a certain range, which makes things sometimes tricky. I'd open the levels up a little more to improve the fact you can out run the golem if you know where you're going/heading for.

Pretty decent game but it's rough around the edges. The UI is a bit simple, there's no menu, and I would have really loved more than 3 levels. Most of all though, for those of us who want to play it sneaky-beaky, there's no audio besides music. There should be grunts or footsteps the golem makes, or the camera should shake more and more as he approaches.

@gredgie It wasn't very well explained but the golem will detect you if it sees you within it's fov and view distance. It will also automatically detect you if you get within a certain range which changes depending on if you're walking/crouching or running. Thanks for the feedback!

@linear Thanks for the feedback! We were going to add some sound effects but we decided to spend the last few hours to get an extra level finished.
