To escape you need to collect resources dropped by the voidlings, called Ingium(TM). The void will send fierce reinforcements to get thy riches and forbid your escape. Make your defenses and escape in this epic turn based strategy game Attack of the Void! by rubrband.

Pros:
- I like the style of the game. The base sorta reminded me of Command and Conquer(95) for some reason.
- The game was difficult, there was some real strategy in deciding when to play greedy and when to build more defenses.
- I like the idea of a base that expands and having to trade resources for more space
___
Cons:
- Some sound effects would have really helped. Check out BFXR
- Was only loosely related to theme
___

Overall enjoyed the experience, thank you for sharing your game :)

Enjoyed this game, simple turn-based game that shows promise and works well. Had no issue with this and got into deep thought! well done!

@william-kluegel hello! We did make sound effects in BFXR and bosca ceoil, we even had a somewhat ok theme song! Our problem was we couldnt implement them in time, due to our lack of experience with audio in GM:S. Thanks for the response though! We will try to get some time for it next LD :D

@rexpeppers Hello! Sorry to hear that. Sadly because of how **GM:S 1.4** exporting works we cant export to Linux or Mac without the target OS present.

@rexpeppers It's possible to play this game on mac using a program called Wine. That's how I played it.

Fun and ambitious game! Takes a few tries to figure out an optimal start, shot myself in the foot a bit on my first playthrough. Cute art!

It's a very interesting turn-based strategy game. The pixel arts are amazing, especially the reactor, it's so cute! I don't think it's tightly related to the theme as I don't feel quite "out of space" when I play, but I do often feel "out of resources". Moreover I don't feel motivated to upgrade the base level, as it seems to do no help to my defence or attack. Maybe you can make some rules to motivate player to upgrade their base level like player needs to upgrade the base to a specific level to win or the high level base can provide some special resources. Anyway it's a very fun game and I think it would be better if you can add some audio later. Good work!

The mechanics of this game are very cool! And it also looked pretty great but it really lacked sound to set the mood but I guess that's what you ge tat game jams. I didn't have a lot of time but I rated a few categories already. Will come back tomorrow morning to give a longer playthrough . BTW it's very similar to https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/pre-alpha-build a nice idea but both implemented differently.

I really like the idea behind this could work as a bigger game, don't stop developing this idea, also liked the graphics.
