LD42 - GraveWorld by Azo
This is my Submission for the LD42 Jam. Try to survive on an undead world, and try not to run out of space as new graves emerge
!
I decided to go for the Jam as I was away for most of Saturday, leaving me only 2 and a bit days. As a first Ludum Dare I played it safe and went for the Jam, and I'm glad I did, as even with that length of time I didn't manage to get any sound or main menu in before the deadline. I hope you enjoy!
CONTROLS
A / left arrow --- move anticlockwise
D / right arrow -- move clockwise
space ------------ attack
This is my first Ludum Dare so I would really appreciate any and all feedback. Now playable on web.

needs sound!
Overall I do quite like the low poly graphics and simple gameplay, but audio does keep being a big part of a game. Nice job for your first Ludum Dare!
@thijs-tak thanks! As mainly a programmer, I was very pleased with the graphics I put together for this one, and it's nice to see that people appreciate it. Audio in works, so should be more feedback for the ghosts in the future, I will make sure to differentiate the two events.
Despite the lack of difficulty, I think it misses a little something to keep the player entertained (some extra feature), but you probably didn't have time ; also the attack animation does not coincide with the move animation.
Overall there are some things that would benefit from being implemented (like an end screen if you destroy all the graves) and it has potential, great work doing this in two days !
Games has a very simple concept, but it works well!

I'm guessing as this was your first jam that you probably mismanaged your time enough that you didn't get it playable for feedback before you submitted, and while having nice graphics is important, good gameplay always wins out. I hope to see you return for the next ludum dare, maybe join a team who need a good artist designer as you're clearly skilled there.
