Good job on your first Ludum Dare entry! I would like to return this magic stopwatch. It doesn't stop lava as advertised. Not sure if that is a bug or not but it doesn't seem to work when I select and use it. I couldn't quite get the hang of your multi-jump system, but I was able to make a lot of progress. Is the level endless or does it eventually top out?

Nice entry! It took me a couple tries to realize that I could jump multiple times, but once I figured that out I enjoyed bounding my way up the volcano. I think I got to the top of level 3 before dying. That sword is a beast.

It would have been nice if the bullets fired by the eyeball guys would be killed when crashing into the floors or something to give me some option to deal with them other than "just run away"

Jumping is really finicky; I figured out the triple-jump but the platforming demands such precision that I didn't get past the first few platforms. I did like the little squish effect when you bump the bottom of a platform, though.

@minibobbo I'm glad you enjoyed the game! Maybe we should've made the fact that the sword can destroy the projectiles more obvious.

@arch There are 4 levels in total. The stopwatch is supposed to only slow down the lava, not stop it. Thanks for the feedback!

@hifructose Can the sword destroy the projectiles? Because I swear I hit one and it did but I couldn't manage it again. Maybe I just got lucky and the bullet time ended right as a swung!

Game seemed hard at first -- then I realize the wall resets your jump and I just rode the wall to victory. Beat the whole game! I'm guessing that's a bug so figured I would mention it :) Over all fun game and cute graphics!

Very difficult game. Nailed the theme.

Very difficult, kind of awkward control scheme too, but I managed to get the hang of it a little. Once I discovered and exploited the wall jumping glitch so to speak, I couldn't resist using it. Lack of music was a downfall for me personally, but having the inventory and having to quickly switch through items to get the one you wanted with that fear of the lava coming up, makes it interesting. Is this your first Ludum Dare?

Nice touch with the items and variability of powers. I didnt understand how many jumps i had, this made me play the game 'one platform at time".

Didnt really get the game. But great effort!

I like all the work you did on having lots of variety in enemies, powerups, and level designs, but the physics could use some more polish. I think it would be more fun to have a bigger jump, but fewer air jumps, since it wouldn't be so mashy and you'd have to think more carefully about when and where to use your jumps.

Nice game for a first attempt, quite similar in concept with our game. I'm just so bad at games tho, 10 mins and I couldn't get past the first couple platforms. There's lots of complexity in the game with the pick ups and inventory system, but you need to work on the game-play, art and music quite a bit more. Maybe consider looking for a team next time? :smile:

Very challenging but fun platformer! I did like the sword mechanics allowing you to swat bullets out of the air. It would have been nice if the tracking on the bullets was slightly more forgiving so you could dodge them easier before you get a sword.

It was challenging to play but a good challenege. At first I thought the horizontal controls were a bit too sensitive but then again smoother controls will ditract from the challenge. One thing you may want to consider is giving the option for arrow keys to move left/right.

This was pretty fun! The first level was easy going and a good tutorial level. Then, when the shooting eyes appeared, it suddenly became much more hectic and challenging, but also more fun. The item mechanic is cool, but the jumping feels a tiny bit annoying, maybe one less jump and a little more height per jump would've felt better. Still, this is quite different as far as platformers go and I enjoyed it a lot, good job!
