You're a poor worker at the local post office and your boss is the biggest cheapskate ever. He limited your use of packing tape to a measly 5m per day and ordered the smallest palette available.

GIF.gif

How it works: - Use the left mouse button to drag the packages - Use the right mouse button and drag from one package to another one to use your tape - Every day (1 minute) the delivery man will come and replace your palette with an empty one - See how long you can do your job without getting fired!

Tools used: - Framework: LibGDX and Box2D - Graphics: Marmorset Hexels, Pyxel and GIMP - Music: beepbox.co - Sounds: Recorded myself and BFXR

Changelog: - Bugfix: Tape should no longer stay on screen in some cases (I hope I haven't broken anything else while fixing that) - Bugfix: The palette has the proper timing now (was a few seconds longer than a minute)

A fun game that fits the theme in a unique way. Really fun and great graphics.

The only bad thing is that the music sounds bad at some points of time, but it sounds good at other times.

Awesome idea. It definitely gives off a papers please vibe, but is very unique. I very much enjoyed the gameplay, it was stressful and fun!

Fun little game, fits the theme well. I couldnt get the tape to work myself which just made it harder. The circle boxes are just impossible.

I love the graphics and I think the concept of the game works well.

The audio is a bit grating however. I also think it could do with an indicator to show that you're currently adding tape.

@jons-games It's supposed to be a right-click-drag from one box to the next, but I've heard from some people that some gesture managers on laptops seem to eat up the click.

But thank you all for the feedback! <3

I thought this game was a lot of fun! Innovative and quirky. Well done. I just wish I could make it full screen, had some trouble playing it on a small screen laptop.

Really good. A clever use of the theme and the core mechanic was implemented very well. It's quite a difficult game. :)

Great work and nice take on the theme. The addition of using tape is a great addition to the classic stacking games. I wasn't a fan of the audio but the graphics were very nicely done.

Fun and easy gameplay. It was easy to learn and understand the game mechanics in general. The only thing I didn't figure out was why or when the pile started over with a new fresh wodden pallet.

Wonderful concept, quite fun to play. Love the tape mechanic especially. Would love to have an indicator when the palette is ready to be cleared.

Muawahaha! I love how well this works with the theme, and the idea of SPHERICAL mail packages has made my day! The physics were perfect

Sick mechanics and music. Awesome

Love it. Great mechanics with the limited tape and you have to play it a few times and think about it. I build on the ledge area first.
Only criticism is it's not really clear when the crate is going to ship off, I can't tell if it's after so much time, or how many stacked parcels before it decides to ship.
But overall I really enjoy this one.

More boxes more problems! Simple to understand but very hard once things get faster. Nice game!.

This is a well done balance game! It was a nice touch to make the pivot point for gravity physics hinge on where you click. That adds a level of control that some of these games don't have.

@tvance thanks, the physics were something I really wanted to get right. This game actually just started out with me playing around with Box2D and on the second day of LD I just though 'I think I could make a game with this' :)

(Even the tape is attached where you click, took me way to long to get that right ^^)
