Trap your opponents until they run out of space in this 1-2 players twin stick party shooter!

Grab a powerup from the roulette once your powerup bar is full and blast your opponents away!

Features

  • Custom shader
  • Procedurally destructible terrain
  • Challenging AI
  • 3 Game modes (Duel, Coop, FFA)
  • Local multiplayer up to two players
  • Gamepad support
  • Nukes

How to play

Hold and release the Shoot button to fire a bolt that tears a lethal hole in the ground upon landing. The longer you hold the button, the further it goes.

Your PowerUp bar fills up over time (faster when you stay still). When it is full, the item roulette starts, then stops when you press the PowerUp button or after 4 seconds. Try to get the rare Nuke powerup! Items work the same way as regular shots, except with the PowerUp button.

Dashing through holes is risky but can save your life if you are cornered!

If you do not have a friend to play with, we recommend playing the singleplayer free for all mode!

Enjoyed the game, needs a little work. Quit button does work, and mechanics are not explained before starting.

@darkguardsman Thank you for your comment! Today we had to make a hard decision between cutting some features or leaving a few minor issues like the lack of tutorial. Hopefully you could still enjoy the gameplay!

@sentrovasi Thanks!! We really tried hard to make it fun and I'm glad you could feel it <3

Nice game, I liked the caster voice and had the most fun playing the free for all mode, probably because it was the hardest one.

@diego-goncalves It's my favorite game mode too! I'm so glad you had fun. The caster, J-Star, also made all the sound effects and music in one day. I included all the voices half an hour before submitting :X

This was fun, liked the fact it wasn't the standard block disappearing when hit, the "holes" in the paper gave it a nice touch. Really liked the graphics and the music. The announcements from the caster gave it a nice touch too, reminds me of old arcade machines.

Quite nice arena shooter, fits the theme well, gameplay is straightforward. Spamming left click seems to work a bit too well against the ai. Fun little game.

Very addictive and great interpretation of the theme - very fun to play couldn't stop playing free for all. The computers are very challenging and the game has a great difficulty level. Maybe add an option to quit to menu after you die after FFA, as I had to wait for the computers to finish fighting.

## Thank you for your awesome feedback!

We will try to fix what can be in a post-jam version, including 4 players support and more reasons to use powerups (because a lot of people don't use it and we put a ton of effort into it :D). Some game-breaking bugs were fixed already and published, like the Quit button of the menu not working. Huge thanks to @talops for that ;-)

That's a pretty cool arena kind of game, making terrain destructible by player's projectiles is pretty clever. The AI is pretty decent and it is engaging to play Free For All. Controls are pretty responsive and gameplay is pretty fun. One thing i could suggest is to make holes more visible, the background moves so sometimes the holes blend with the white parts of the background. Nonetheless the game is pretty good, it sure is an interesting take on the theme. Graphics are also very neat and easy to read. Solid entry overall!

Excellent arena game. I have no negative feedback whatsoever. Expecially loved trying to trap my openent. Graphics and music are very good. The AI is really dumb but that's to be expected from a 72hours game.

I really enjoyed this one! I think the power ups are difficult to keep up with, as a player I want to keep my eyes on the action. The AI should not see me when I am dead and deciding where to re-spawn. i should not see where the AI is going to pop up with their lives.

@tigerj We totally agree with the problems you point out!

Should we decided to make a post-jam version, we would probably replace the powerups by pickups that spawn on the field, so players can keep their eyes on the battlefield.

Since we want the game to be playable in local multiplayer, we have to keep the respawn marker visible for all players, although I understand how awesome it could be to respawn behind your opponent and surprise them. But you are right, respawn-instakill is a problem we have to address. We have ideas that imply things like making the player invincible for a short amount of time after respawn, or give them a reflecting shield, or allowing the player/AI to respawn a little bit before the cooldown in order to make the respawn location a little harder to predict.

Thanks again for the insightful feedback! See you on discord or on stream.

@spacemonkey those are very creative solutions (invincible and shields) great work!

Cool concept for an arena game. Nice work fleshing out some different game modes. I would look to adding some other type of obstacles that block the shots. But other than that, good work!

Great game! One problem I had is when I got off screen by mistake I didn't knew where I am and it automatically lost.
Other than that I had lots of fun. It's awesome that each color has a unique projectile.

Also great voice lines!
