Dice Builder by KnithGuris

:game_die: Dice Builder

Gather dices as many as the spots! Score up as much as you can!

:video_game: Rules

  1. If the dices are gathered adjacently exactly as many as (and no more than) the spots, they will be removed and you get score. (1, 2's will not remove themselves)
  2. Placing dice onto another will add their spots.
  3. If the spots exceed 12, the dice will become a boulder.
  4. You cannot move across the boulder.
  5. If you stuck among the boulders (or run out of space :smirk:), the game ends.
  6. You don't have much time to think because the dices will place themselves in 5~15 seconds depending of the difficulty. (Indicated by red, fast moving cursors)

:keyboard: Control

  • W/A/S/D: Move dices
  • Q/R: Rotate dices counter-/clockwise.
  • R: Flip dices upside down.
  • F: Mirror dices.
  • Spacebar, Return: Place dices.
  • Esc: Exit the game.

It was so funny, but I think this game is a little difficult the first time. Despite the difficulty, It was very funny and nice to kill time.

great mechanics, and an excellent way to blow your mind.
the fact that you don't see the timer of the forced placed down is really stressing, and add a lot to the fun

WOW!I like this game type.I hope it will have a mobile version.
I think you can cancel time limit. It can make us think about the best action.

@arkadynn At first, I thought making cursor red and fast is enough to be noticeable. However, it is really not. I hope I added some kind of gauge to indicate it.

Nice game, easy to apprehend once you understand that you need the precise number of dice with the same number adjacent (and no more) and that 1's and 2's can't be erased by themselves.
And the game is really hard to master afterwards ! My brain melted mid-game when I had too many 7's and more everywhere.
Some timer for the auto-drop would be great :)
I'd love to have this game on my smartphone or a tablet :p

Heck this is a *really good puzzle game*! The rule for clearing dice took me a little while to figure out what it meant but once I got it I had a blast with it! Honestly with a bit more polish this is the kind of game I'd buy for mobile, I absolute loved it!

Interesting game, couldn't figure out how to get adjacent numbers to vanish. It think some visual guides would help with this.

Nice game but very very hard! I think it could use a little balancing :) (maybe give more time to place the dices?)

Very clever and entertaining. I think the time restriction is a bit unnecessary, as there are so many possibilities, that the good play will depend solely on strategy, which is good.

Great gameplay idea. An indicator of when the dices gets automaticly placed would be good. Also the current block of dices is hard to read.

That is a clever use of the dominos and I love the depth of the summing dots mechanic. It's really interesting. I just didn't find the timer mechanic really useful because it often breaks your thinking. Really cool puzzle nonetheless!

@darkguardsman, @niarkou, @pepelumen, @oadt, @rend // Thanks for your feedback! I should definitely remove, mitigate, or at least indicate the timing constraints and improve the UI, UX things, surely.

Wow! A great little puzzle game with a good length of content for LD. The UI is clean and polished and I love the sound effect on placement. Well done.

I had 2s and 3s adjacent several times, yet, they would not get removed? I'm afraid I don't understand your game, so I gave up.

At first, it was hard, but once I understood the goal, I liked it. And then, there was so much space I got tired of it even before filling the entire board. The idea is cool however! I liked it even if it's not my type of game.

@folex70, @ryanjavanshir, @mike-inprinciple, @deaymon // Thanks for playing the game!

@mike-inprinciple // 2s will not remove themselves according to the rule. 3s will remove themselves if there are exactly 3 3s gathered adjacent, not 4 or more. Likewise, 4 4s have to be gathered, not 5 or more.

@knithguris My apologies about the 3s, I think I got confused in my explanation. I missed the rule about 2s, however. Thanks for clarifying

Oof. That was....yeah. Once you figured out the mechanic it was pretty neat, but before then it was just -really- confusing :D Not my cup of tea -at all-, especially not with the timer mechanic, but undoubtedly cleverly done!

Cool game! I didn't like the timer (specially since you can rotate and mirror the dices you are playing with, so there are tons of possibilities, more since the edges of the board are connected!) and the size of the board (too big) but the mechanics are simple and that makes the game really elegant. I found aesthetically a little poor but very polished. Congratulations!

Took a few times to finally figure out what you meant but once I figured it out, the mechanic made sense. Good game, nicely polished and enjoyable. I'll pick it up again post dare I'm thinking - and thanks for posting your code - much appreciated! Very Very good job.

Interesting, and quite overwhelming. I like the concept, but maybe the board is too big? On my second try I got 2924, and then it just became too much.

Great little scoring game! And very good interpretation of the theme! I liked the minimalist graphic style! I think that some additional feedback in the gameplay would make the game even better by allowing to better understand the different actions of the player! Great job! :)

By the way please feel free to leave us some feedbacks on our game!
