Clippy's awakening was a fun little game. I got stuck on the last boss though. I made him blow up but he still persisted.![Screen Shot 2018-08-13 at 6.53.04 PM.png](///raw/e86/91/z/18c9f.png)

This right here is the best one. Holy hell i lol'd at all the gags. I did have some confusion around the final boss: eventually both hands disappeared and i attacked an invisible enemy for a while but it didn't seem to be dying so i gave up. solid game overall though, and great concept.

Wow, this game is *really* polished! I was surprised over and over to discover more and more content. The abilities felt really good to use, there was great feedback. It was easy to understand how to play.

I think the final boss glitched out on me, they disappeared after getting hit a lot but it seemed like they were still there (also the game kept going). Movement started getting glitchy when I took a lot of damage (maybe a feature? haha). Also, it took a *massive* amount of damage to die, although killing myself was totally worth it to see the game over screen.

Again with the very well-executed player feedback: I loved the sound muffling effect when you were low on life... er, disk space. Details like this really made this game shine.

Nice work!

Brilliant! I was smiling the entire time - excellent use of theme, and so much fun. The cursor weapon was a great idea, and the power ups were excellent! A+

I encountered the same issue as the other players mentioned.. the 2 hand boss, the hands blew up, and I continued to fight invisible hands that were shooting at me. I fought a good 5 minutes before I finally gave up. Aside from that last bug / not seeing the game ending, it's still super solid and fun, excellent work!

Ok thanks for the info @scottyseus @wheffle @redhermit !

We'll fix that bug as soon as possible. Thanks for all the feedback!

We've never had somebody call our game really polished before! Haha. We actually had a full sound guy (@thomas-parrish) which was freaking awesome. Being able to add a bunch of sound effects inspired us devs to make more visual effects which lead to a ton of player feedback.

I enjoyed it; it was fun to explore around. The sounds were great! I hit the boss glitch too, and I found another one that had me stuck in the pictures folder near the exit folder (the orange shield that was supposed to keep me from exiting until I finished was actually preventing me from getting in), but a restart fixed that one.
Good job!

Wow! This game was so great! I love it! The whole idea of navigating the computer as clippy was so fun. On top of the great art and sfx, the metroidvania design made it feel super polished and complete. I hope you continue to build on this because I would definitely keep playing! I also hit the end boss bug so that was a bit of a bummer, but that didn't detract much from the rest of the experience. My only other suggestion would be that clearing out files felt really satisfying in the beginning but there was less and less of that as the game went on, so peppering more files to delete throughout the game would be nice. The openable meme file was a nice touch. I feel like you could do a lot of cool stuff with that if you chose to build the game out further.

Realy nice game. A real nice difficulty and nice controlls but I had one problem. Sometimes my character wasn't able to move. I was able to attack normaly but no movement. The first time it occured when I opend the LudumDareMeme (nice by the way ^^) and then another time when I was hit.

Thanks for all your awesome feedback so far! We've just posted an updated build so for anyone that ran into the final boss bug (you didn't really miss anything tbh) or couldn't get in to the my pictures folder because of a weird firewall that shouldn't have been there (you missed most of the game if this happened to you) feel free to try it again!

We also added an experimental linux version, so if you try it out please let us know how it works for you!

This was oddly satisfying, too bad the last boss glitched out.

One of the most feature complete games I've seen so far. It's a proper adventure game. One gripe I have with these games, usually, is the enemy respawn. I understand why it's there, but I'd be eager to see some new inventive solutions to the problem of empty rooms. Seeing exactly the same enemies appear makes me feel like my progress is being artificially held back. For instance, the Souls series did a great job of justifying full respawns, but that's rare. I'd like to see a differnt solution, like a change in enemies, or a reduction of them, or something. Fantastic job.

Very creative and fun concept. I played it all the way through. Some feedback I would give is once I realised I didn't need to kill all the virus things, and they just came back, I skipped through most of it using the powerup. Good job overall!

Oh my god I love it. SOOOOOOO polished. The graphics weren't very clean, but I'm still kind of trying to figure out if I even want to see that game changed in any way........Well done seriously.

@aevek I checked out this game and read the comments afterwards, I'm on the mac build which looks like it may still have the photos bug, and the final boss bug... I shot at the firewall, reflected bullets back, and even ran around in it while cut and pasted, but no avail :(
I enjoyed this game a lot, the easter egg made me laugh, nice take on the theme!

Great game! Best game I've played so far. I did run into one bug where it wasn't registering my movement consistently. If I held down "W" to go up it would go for half a second, then stop registering all together. Restarting the game fixed it though.

The game is really entertaining, a simple adventure, is amazing what you guys achieved in such a short time! The music is beautiful, the graphics, although simple is what makes it so special, I like how works with nostalgia, the controls were a bit uncomfortable for me, maybe changing to E or R for the time/shield power, that one felt especially uncomfortable(but that’s just me), everything feels good, I especially loved the small details such as how the pause comes out of the Start or that you can change the music volume at any time with the mouse. Despite the good game and finally, I would have loved to see more of the theme space from you guys, not just use it as a life bar. Keep up the good work and congrats on your game.

I found a game-breaking bug. I used my Cut/Paste ability in My Pictures, moved into the Photos folder while still cloaked, and headed straight for the Noods, but my Cut/Paste ran out when I was inside the firewall blocking Noods. When I respawned, I was back in My Pictures, but Photos was still open and I was stuck forever :(

Was still fun while it lasted!

Nice! We had a similar idea at the beginning. Glad to see someone implemented it and in such a fun way. I struggled a bit with the controls mainly because it appears only the left side of the keyboard is read when it comes to "CRTL" and "SHIFT" which made it hard for me at times and I had the impression that the computer would be slowly but constantly running out of space and I had to track down the baddies to kill them and clean up their mess. Not sure how I got to that conclusion but I did so I was surprised when it turned out the game is not exactly like that. Still, I think it was executed well and I like the boomerang like attack plus navigating through the system and the power ups were a very nice touch. Would like to see this have improved control, maybe some elements of the fore mentioned "baddies pop in and out of folders and you needing to track them down to stop but with a limit not like a wave of enemies) ;) Nicely done

P.S. I did like the level progression and the tutorial parts (wish I could close them if I did not want to use the power ups right away) and discovering/using a power up was satisfying. :D

Wow. this is awesome in every way. The idea of a desktop dungeon crawler is incredibly unique, and the theme being worked into the story and mechanics with your health being the remaining storage is super clever. Some of the things on the computer made me laugh, and overall it was super well done! It felt like an old computer, and was awesome! Just two complaints- combat could sort of be cheated by just abusing the copy/paste ability. Also, i kinda wished that the bosses had healthbars, or some sort of indicator.

A lot of managing disk space on a computer games this ludum, but this one stands out from the ones I've played. Making it a small adventure through the folders of the PC was a nice touch. Controls were smooth, and the folders and names of some of them were great, including the memes. The power ups felt rewarding to use, especially in a combo style, like using the shield to gather shots, and them going into cut/paste from that to move through more incoming ones.

There's a lot of nice small polish added to this as well, like the screen shake when getting hit and the fly out text of the file sizes being added.

The disk usage never felt like it was a threat however. I think that's my only critique.

Glad to see Clippy finally getting some respect as the hero that he is!

I didn't really know what to expect going into this - it was a lot of fun! Unlocking the different powers, and then figuring out how they made it possible to progress, was very rewarding.
