Alien Vs Gods by Gosera

[raw]
made by Gosera for LD 43 (JAM)

You are a follower of the old gods and they have tasked you to kill as many aliens as possible and collect their resources before too many manage to escape the field.

To accomplish this task the old gods are giving you defunct towers with faulty memory, random fire rates and bullets. So its up to you to figure out if your tower is up to the task or in need to be replaced by another defunct tower.

HOW TO PLAY AND GOAL

WASD/Arrow keys for moving the camera, holding down right click lets you rotate the camera,

You use the left mouse button to drag and drop the defunct towers on to the tower platforms, To replace a defunct tower with another defunct tower all you have to do is drag a new defunct tower on top of the old one.

The stockpile that holds your defunct towers can only have 8 of them and will use 100 resources to fill it up. Each tower you place that is above level 1 will cost resources which is dependent on your level.

The Goal is for you to get as much resources as possible before your ultimate doom.

We hade a random cases of the zip not giving people the UnityPlayer.dll and thats why we have included a link to a folder with both versions of the dll exists

That looks pretty but the game itself is very rough and leave the feeling of unfurnishedness. I don't know even where to start. Tower defense genre had acquired quite a lot of quality of life features during it's evolution, and that features are considered as a must have overall. Your game lack pretty much all of it - wave indicators, tower statuses, range highlights, path indicators, timeskip buttons etc. etc.

It is hard to demand complex UI from a jam game, I know, but if you are taking on a genre with the established unwritten rules, you better prepare to hear criticism on that part.

A lot of fun to play and pretty addictive. Visually it is exception and no lag or issues with performance. Very well made for a short timeline! Awesome Game!
