wow, the control is smooth as silk. The graphics is not fancy but just work. I can see pretty much juicy features to improve visual quality. When I found out you actually control the missile tracking I soon beat AI and learnt fun things about the game. Just need friends to play in a party. good work!

The first game with a good AI i've seen in LD!

Good
- High level of polish
- Simple concept with a high skill ceiling
- AI is great

Could be improved
- Its hard to tell when a player is on its last hit
- After the missile hit something, maybe the mouse cursor could be teleported back to the body
- Would be amazing as a team vs team battle!
- Could throw in some powerups in the middle as an incentive for people not to fly as far away as possible

this sounds like it'd be amazing with lots of people! It felt fun just to control the ships

Wow this was amazing! It reminded me of starwhal, if you've ever heard of that game. Definitely one of my favorite ludum dare games so far, the mechanic was super cool, especially for a couch coop!

I really want to check this out, but even after mashing every key I could think of, I couldn't get the game to start via keyboard! What's the key to start the game?

Edit: It's right click! In case anyone else got stuck like I did. :)

After playing it, I can safely say that this was a ton of fun! I definitely want to give it a try with a bunch of human players, instead of just CPU, and props to you for writing AI so that people can try it out singleplayer!

This is great! Simple concept amazingly well executed. Graphics and music were both well done. Impressed that you managed to create AI that is actually fun to play against in such a short period of time.

Would definitely whip this out for a few rounds with some friends. Could definitely be expanded upon post jam to be pretty great with multiple levels + online support (just the easiest, right? )

Only complaint I had would be lack of UI. Couldn't figure out how to close it when I was done and had to CTRL+ALT+DEL out. Also very possible that I was being a dork and just couldn't figure it out.

Great job all!

Actually a cool concept! I love that it has local multiplayer too, it seems like a good party game.
As some people said before me, it was kinda hard to figure out controls like how to start the game or how to exit.
It also took me a second to figure out which ship I was lol.
I like the simplicity of the colours against the background!

The AI is great! The game itself is very solid. The first run isn't very intuitive but the core gameplay is fun.
If I had friends this would be a great minigame to laugh and scream at each other with.

Great job!

Awesome concept and execution. The visuals are great and the AI is unbelievably good for a jam game. Great craftsmanship.

I really liked this game. The AI players were nice, and I love the fact that it allows controllers and that it can handle (local, at least) multiplayer. Great job!

This is a well done game with great graphics and music. The controls took a bit to get used to, but worked well once I understood them. Unfortunately, I only have two PS4 controllers and don't want to pair them to my PC, so I could not try out the multiplayer, but I bet it is a lot of fun. The AI worked very well, especially for a Ludum Dare game. One thing that I never did quite figure out was if you control the bullet after firing. If not, the curving path makes it quite difficult to figure out when to fire.

Hey all, "Shoot or Move" composer here. Thanks for the great feedback! We did several rounds of playtesting ourselves with 4 PS4 controllers, and while the AI aren't bad at all, it is way more fun if you get a chance to play with friends.

@kambing powerups were a stretch goal we didn't get to implement during the jam!
