Defragment VR by agentparsec

DEFRAGMENT VR
Warning: Requires VR
(Tested on HTC Vive and Oculus Rift, unknown if other VR systems will work)
Story
You are a Defragmentation Program. Data is coming into your storage medium in the form of data blocks, and you must make efficient use of the available space to store as much data as possible before your space completely runs out!

How to play
- Data blocks (each worth 1 MB of data) appear in the area periodically; this will speed up very gradually over time.
- Use the trigger on the left and right controllers to pick up data blocks, and release the trigger to drop them.
- While holding two cubes of the same color, you can touch them together to merge them; they take up the same volume, but can still make more efficient use of space.
- If any block touches the barrier above the play area, the game ends, and your score is displayed (the number of megabytes of data you managed to store).

Notes
- Try not to push blocks through each other, as it can launch one of them, typically resulting in an immediate loss when it crosses the barrier.
- It's possible to push blocks through walls, but don't do it. At worst, the block will stay in the play area but become completely uninteractable. At best, the game will realize a block has left the play area, resulting in an immediate game over.
- This has not been tested with any VR system other than the HTC Vive. That's not to say it won't work, however, so if you have another VR system and can test it, let me know the results in the comments. Update A user has tested it on the Rift and confirms that it works fine!
Tools Used
- Programming: Unity 2018 (uses SteamVR assets from Unity Asset Store only for VR setup)
- Graphics: Adobe Animate (just to draw a single texture normal)
- Sound: GoldWave, Voicemod
- Music: Reaper, Vocaloid 4

The game is well done. Once I figured out the best way for me to play was to sit in a corner and grab the cubes from there, I did pretty well. 36 mb in my best run. A few comments:
- The music is catchy and I'll probably be hearing that song in my head all day.
- The visuals are simple, but effective and well done. I liked the use of light.
- The physics are really wonky. Every run ended because of a physics glitch.
- Having the barrier at about eye level was disorienting and made the game impossible for me to play standing up.
Very cool to see a VR game in this Jam and having it be a high quality one makes it even better. Great job!

- you had the courage to make a VR game in a 48h jam;
- the music;
- the graphics;
The bad:
- when I am standing the FX is at eye level. This is unpleasant. It could face near the player's eyes;
- I just made 3 big boxes in 3 corners. This is not very puzzeley;
- the merge detection fails sometimes;
