Murder by TheGameGoyal

[raw]
made by TheGameGoyal for LD 38 (COMPO)

This game was made in 48 hours for the Ludum Dare 38 with self-made assets. This is my first go at Ludum Dare and I had a blast, I may not be very good game but at least I got something done.

Overall a very simple and fun game. I especially liked the fun pixel-art and the good old time styled game music.

Cool game! I don't see how it fits into the theme, but toggling between looking down and stabbing people was a cool mechanic. It could have done with some music though.
Good job!

Nice little game ! It lacks a little bit of goals and polishing, but the art is good ! I liked the animation, especially the walk cycle which feels like the character is a "happy-dancing-little-fellow". Bravo on your first LD !

Doesn't really relate to the theme in any way I can discern, although I don't think it's a huge deal. You made a game you wanted to make, which is what this event is about.

I enjoyed the game regardless, and the pixel art was really sweet! And of course, congratulations on your first entry :D

P.S. I saw an earlier comment saying there wasn't any music. If you added it in after the deadline, please keep the original version and make it clear which version that is so that people can rate it fairly.

I really like the graphic and with the elevator it reminds me a bit about "Impossible mission" on the C64. The death sound could have been better.

ELEVATOR ACTION well ok we didn't squish any cops, but that would have been too bloody for LD jam, right?

Had a lot of fun, I think the idea of averting your gaze to not get arrested is hilarious and should work in real life. Also bodies should just vanish when they die, as if we were all Jedi. No muss no fuss.

Good work here, I hope you had fun making it, you should totally keep this up!

Nice world setting and pixel art. However, attack lag is so tormenting.

elevator is a smart idea to move between scenes.

The biggest problem of your game is that there is no mob spawn point. First time I play the game, a police spawned besides me when I was in elevator. that was so f**king! Maybe a definite mob spawn point like a door or a 3d printer (what?) makes your game more interesting.

I jumped off the lift as it was going up, making it impossible to get to the top floor again. Couldn't find a way to call it back.

Didn't first quite understand the whole looking down thing but tried again after reading the comments and it made a lor more sense. Cool mechanic poking fun at some stealth games like Hitman.

Visuals looked nice and sharp. Star HUD felt kinda out of place being the only non-pixelated piece of graphic on the screen.

The stabbing delay was awkward especially with the small hitbox. Cloudn't find any buttons for stab/look on the keyboard. Moving at least had alt keys but would have preferred to play with keyboard only since mouse was only used for the buttons.

Fun game. I would call it GTA 2d. The cops and start is an amazing idea.

Also killing office people so much fun.

Good job.
