Simple ShapeShifting game for LD 35.
The Game is best played in fullscreen, IMO.

The goal is too avoid the black hole. Too jump from one ring to the next, your shape(the green one) must touch a another shape of the same kind, ie if your shape is square and it touches another square you get bumped to the next ring. If you touch a shape that isnt the same as your shape, you will fall one ring closer to the black hole.

press up to shapeshift

press space to change direction

press r to restart

Nice idea, but the shapes were a bit too small and quite hard to recognize.

I like the idea of rings and the way of transition, it get a little confuse at first, but when I see what happening, it feels pretty intuition and smoothly.

Great concept!
Challenging and a bit difficult, but i like it a lot.
A bit confusing at the start, but i catched it really fast.

Solid idea and good take on the theme. It's very hard to see the shapes: they are too small (even in fullscreen) and they wizz about!! 8) I got bumped back down several times and just had to wait for the black hole to eat me up :(

Really like the concept and the gameplay. I feel like it would be a bit more fair if it automatically generated a random shape if you go to a ring that doesn't have any shapes. That way you never get into an unwinnable state.

Yeah I considered that, but all the rings are spawned with shapes, it is only when the player has bumped all the shapes away from a ring, that there are no longer any shapes in that ring. I may implement your suggestion in a more polished version. :D

Fun and a bit trippy.
Distinguishing the tiny similar shapes is difficult. A more drastic difference in shape and color would help.
(fyi:Sometimes when I got hit I would vanish, then notice I was a single pixel moving inside the back hole)

Difficult, but it's a perfect mobile game with some polishing. Good luck!
