Description

Stop Climate Change is a satirical game about the consequences of global warming in the antartic environment. You are a penguin on a melting ice floe . You have to fight against other penguins for the remaining and slowly shrinking space. You can walk on the slippery surface and use jump attacks to kick other penguin out of the platform. Only the most adapted penguins will remain and adaption means, be the last one on the floe.

The political message behind this: Stop the climate change! It is real! The penguins are running out of space, their habitat is vanishing! If you want to donate to a penguin preservation organisation, I would recommend you this one.

Fun game, but even when all of the other penguins were eliminated it still said I lost. Bug? Unless you are trying to say that with climate change all the penguins lose.

Your game suits the theme quite well. And also points out some world problems that we undeniably have. Poor pingus :(. I think I would let the player push the other pengiuns more, but that is just a personal preference. Overall I quite enjoyed the game altho I suck at it lol.

I really like your idea, its a very cool game! Maybe you could make the game start by pressing space :D and an indicator for how link the pinguin is not playable. Cool music btw

This game is really intense, top ten anime battles. But, after there are only a few enemies, the game gets a little slow

This was a fun time, I had to play twice to win, and even then it felt like I got lucky a few times. I think this would be a super fun party game, please consider adding local multiplayer. (Bundle it with your RAD soccer game and I would definitely pay some $$ to play that with my pals)

Battle royale on an iceberg, great! I really like the AI of other penguins, their movement looks very natural. Adding a few icebergs on the background could have improved the visual component of the game a lot, I think.

I really hate the other penguin dudes, they really deserve what's coming to them in this penguin battle royale.

I had a hard time controlling my penguin. It took me many tries to win from 10 enemies. But I enjoyed it more and more as I got used to it. It would have loved some more/louder sound effects with the sliding, whieeeh!
It seemed that after winning, in the next game I wasn't able to move. I liked that I could play with my controller. Cute ukulele music. ^^

Cool, I checked both the web version and the aandroid version, it was fun, good message. It seemed like there were fewer fps on mobile, but other than that, the controls were easy to grab (both on android and on pc) and it was a fun experience !

Wow, didn't think this game could actually be fun - but it is! Congrats! The AI of the pinguins is superb, they are really annoying and most times feel pretty natural. It was actually difficult to win...
Graphics and animation are nice and on-spot. IMO the music doesn't fit the setting that well, but it can also be seen as a contra point (guess it was planned that way). Anyways, having music is top, and it sounds nice.

Having a message as well gives extra points. One of the top entries this Ludum Dare.

I think the physics in the game are too far removed from what I perceive as real or predictable to make this an enjoyable game. I spent the majority of my time avoiding conflict due to being almost certain that I would miss all of my attacks, and, in the game, all missed attacks result in inevitable (or close enough to inevitable) ultimate failure.

It reminds me of someone Crash Bandicoot game mode(in PS1).

The punch is not that strong so the best tactics for me is to be slow and accurate. And at some point my controls got disabled (wasd and space). And that one was close: :smile:

I played it 10 times and I lost all 10! I am such a bad penguin. Lots of falling off in agonising slow motion :laughing:

More of a physics toy than a full game, and quite difficult, but quite entertaining. I managed to get a 100-penguin size-100 game to load but it ran about one frame per minute. XD

MY favourite is having 50 penguins in a field size of 10. Mayhem breaks loose and its hillarious. I'm aware that the last man standing (or pengiun) wins but I enjoyed it as apenguin simulator more than anything. Didn't get a single win but enjoyed nevertheless. Although the audio is fitting, I thought it was also under-whelming.

I feel like this game should be designed for multiplayer.

Nice work on this one, we made a similar game but with a different flavor to staying on the ice. I thought the AI was quite effective, especially when it came down to a 1v1 I was hoping to bait them by the side but he beat me in the game of chicken lol. I was really glad you had the field customization options on the main menu. I definitely played around with that a bit and had a lot of fun seeing tons of penguins blasting off from the spawn location. I haven't seen that in any LD games and it gave it a nice sandbox feel. Cool game, try out our fellow climate change iceberg game!

A whole load of fun OMG!
So the only thing that I rated worse than 4 stars was actually the humor, because the background is too important to make jokes about it.
