Sacrifices must be made by Biebras

[raw]
made by Biebras for LD 43 (JAM)

In this 4 player co-op game, the players must all scramble to do their part in completing a statue(which is called Sacrifice), and survive, before their resources run dry. The blue player is in charge of collecting water, the brown player chops down trees, the gray player picks rocks and the purple player makes the grub

Truly, I'm not a really happy whit the game. I remade the game idea, cause I wouldn't be on time. Aberrantly, It's not polished. It's just prototype, a crappy one. Anyways I learned a lot about programming. I mastered classes and next time I will take simple Idea and polish as better as I can.

Programmer: Me Artist: sadly, but it's me Music artist: Noa www.soundcloud.com/hitmanatee

Anyways I'm really happy to participate and definitely, I will join in upcoming Ludum Dare 44

Making a multiplayer game is really ambitious, but it seems like you pulled it off ;). Can't wait to see you at LD44!

Good effort nonetheless, and what turned out is still a fun game at it's core. Minus things like the players I generally like the art style a lot and the music was also nice. One thing however, it seems a bit too grindy and long in order to progress so maybe change that in future. Good effort however and good luck!

I had a hard time telling some of the characters apart. I think more contrasting colors would be better.

Good work but I really can't understand how it relates to the theme

@rektorgladowski I forgot to include more info about the game. How it relates? Statues name is Sacrifice :D, and you have to make it :DDD

Um, I stripped all the minerals, except the lake (can't strip?) on the first stage, and dropped them in our hut but nothing seemed to happen. idk. I do think the touch felt really good and the interaction was also fun.

Hey! Nice job. It still needs a lot of improvement, though. First of all, the controls. Moving your character with an RMB and then actually doing staff with LMB is counterintuitive. Also it doesn't help that the game is in Web - double clicks highlight text, send you to another tab and overall work unpredictably. Maybe you'd better stick with WASD and some action button, and then scroll between characters with one dedicated key or just 1234.

Secondly, theme execution is passable at most. You can do better, man, try something wonky and twist the theme as you please. Make it unexpected.

Colour coding for resources is neat, although sometimes you can lose your character in a similar colour (look at the first level, for example - teal player is the same colour as the tree on the left). That's just the problem of it being a prototype, I guess.

I wouldn't call it a co-op since there is really only one player needed.

The music is cool. Tell Noa they've made a great job!

Nice job for your second attempt, especially if you've learned so much.

Keep up with the good work, you definitely should participate again.

To be honest I didn't really get what to do. After a while I managed to chop a tree, get stone and get water but after that I was again lost. I tried to click a tree, didn't really work. I also didn't know if there was a lose or win condition. This game could be really fun if there was some time pressure and smoother controls. I kind a feel how it fits the theme but it's not completely there. Music was nice enough, graphics were simple but certainly passable and the simple style could fit a game like this. Overall I think it is clearly a prototype as you say yourself, but it would need some more mechanics to actually be fun. Best of luck! Check out my game turned prototype, then you will see I understand how it feels ;)

I'm a bit lost with the gameplay (what are exactly the objectives). Nevertheless it's smooth, pleasant and relaxing (especially the music). I think you had to itemize the description of your game, because for the player once the investment is made your game is interesting. It's still a good job
