Cryofailure by Neon

An atmospheric VR adventure game. Walk around in a cosy spaceship and play around with stuff. Pick up things, throw them around, play with the computers, eat and drink! Or you could gaze into the unmoving endless darkness of space. Or maybe play around with some buttons you might not know the function of.
Play on itch.io, find the source on GitHub, and watch the timelapse:
If you don't have a Vive, you could also just watch my walkthrough of the game:

Congrats on putting out something so cutting edge for LD Compo! Its been quite a while since I haven't met minimum system specs
Unsure if this was intended but I went into the medicine cabinet and threw a pill bottle, it kinda floated beautifully with the pills inside coming out slowly. Felt like there was no gravity and was a nice effect.
Teleportation was a little janky, perhaps because I played sat down, but took my a bit of hand waving for the teleport icon to appear on the floor.
I enjoyed the read out of the engine screen when pushing random buttons :D Made me laugh.
More please! Thanks for creating and sharing.
@binaryferret Thanks for the feedback! Glad the little touches (the pills & engine screen) were worth the time.

I just enjoy the guts of making a VR game for a Ludum Dare, and a seemly functionnal game !
I would just argue that the controller being visible should be replaced with a "hand" model or lookalike, but i don't really know at how much point it's possible or not, so it's not that important.
Great job !
i dont like how the forward movement is so choppy. when you walk forward it shows only a few discrete frames of movement. i dont have any experience with VR, so i dont know if this is a very difficult thing deal with, but it did take away from the experience in my opinion.
the concept was wonderful as was the execution, really nice work! i only wish i had a VR headset so i could explore it myself.
It looked great and seemed to have quite a good feel to the whole game. Great work!
