Anyways, I did find some bugs actually when you put the popcorn on the seat when they are on their way to the seat, then they sorta seem stuck.
Else, great graphics and mood! Well done. :)
very funny and cute art style
overall great game
note - I think theres a bug (at least in the mac build) where you can't talk to people after failing the game once
here it is so you can upload it

There are a few bugs like the popcorns are on top the characters but the speech bubbles are behind them. You can also add a bit more variety into the key sequences and change the length of them. Other than that it is a very good game given that this is your first LD!
Well done!
Keep coding :)
The game is moody and fun, and it's surely something more the normal 3 star compo game
Have a nice day!
I also appreciate you went the extra mile beyond it basically being a fancy Game & Watch game with the conversation minigame aspect.
Really solid compo entry, especially for a first timer!
Thank you for this little experience into our-self.
There were a few visual bugs, mainly with the depth of things, such as you walking between the chair and the popcorn, or the speech prompts being blocked by movie goers. This might just be the web port?
The tasks do become repetitive quite quickly, so I think it was a smart move to keep it short.
Nice entry!
I have rated your game, but all of my feedback was captured in the stream.
You can hear my comments in the archive at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297889760
The graphics and the Audio were great, enjoyed the fact there is a movie going on in the background, as well as the game felt well polished and whole.
I do think the game lacks replayability once you figure it out due to the rather simple and short gameplay, but it's a fun little game that isn't like anything I've seen or played before. I really enjoyed it!
if you would like some more feedback definetly check it out :)
FUN - The game wasn't too challenging once I figured out that pressing the wrong keys raises your anxiety level. The bubbles lasted just long enough for me to press the correct buttons, but the game still took me 3 tries to beat. I gave it a 2.5/5 for fun since it's so short.
INNOVATION - I don't think there's anything particularly innovative here in terms of mechanics or gameplay, other than the character tie in with the timid speech bubbles. I gave it a 1.5/5 for this.
THEME - I don't believe that the theme allowed for a really diverse set of interpretations, but the way that this one is presented (seats filling up at a theater), is really unique! I'm still looking for that one game that just blows me away in interpretation to give my 5 star rating to, but you scored very good with a 4/5 on this category.
GRAPHICS - I loved the hand-drawn art style (probably because I do the same thing)! The colors didn't seem to be part of a unified palette but they worked all the same. The lack of actual frames of animation (probably due to time constraints, right ) didn't detract too much from the overall art style too much, though they certainly would have made it better (in my opinion). I gave it a 3.5/5 here.
AUDIO - I liked the choice of music on its own, but I don't think it blended very well with the game. Maybe lowering the volume a bit or using Audacity to dampen the high notes a bit would be better. I find audio to be almost entirely a matter of taste, however, so take this with a grain of salt. I gave it a 3/5.
HUMOR - The amusing dialog from the movie made me laugh the first time I heard it. Who goes to *mime* school? Do the teachers talk at all?
However, after a couple restarts it would have been nice to hear a different voice clip or musical piece, and for some more voice clips to run during a play session as well, instead of just the beginning. I gave it a 3/5.
MOOD - NOTE: I group all characters and story into this category! I loved the characters and could completely identify with the girl I was playing. Talking to people can be scary (and the expressions on some of their faces probably made it worse)! Including considerations from the GRAPHICS and AUDIO points above, I gave it a 3.5/5.
OVERALL - I gave it a 3.5/5, a solid jam effort! It was a little slow, a little too easy, and a bit inconsistent in my opinion. I added .5 stars because I didn't encounter any bugs .
You should be very proud of your first jam and I look forward to seeing more of your entries in the future!
