So many fans died... Serves them right. Always getting in my way ! Really great interpretation of the theme, I'm surprised at the amount of content you managed to produce in these 72 hours. Awesome graphics and really funny sound design. This game will likely end up in the top 10.

Such a game , it's really gorgeous to see fans died because of traps or mobs. However , fans sound gave me an headach. Could it be possible to pary / block attack ?

I really dig this game. I love the art and music to it. If I had one complaint though, its that combat and movement felt a bit to stiff, but its good for a jam game. Nice job!

Original and fun take on the theme. Delightfully animated. The only complaint I have is that the combat felt a little bit sluggish.

I feel like WASD shouldn't have been necessary, it felt conflictual with the mouse direction when I came to dash. Maybe simply moving in the direction of the mouse would have been better !

I'm being picky here, but I also feel like the feedback when you kill an enemy is really inconsistent, which is a shame.

Otherwise, awesome entry, so much content and polish, that's impressive ! Loved the designs for the bosses, a shame I'm too bad to see the last one !

The music was really good, and so was the pixel art. I felt the first boss way way too easy. I was amused by the fans demanding signatures. I felt the knight moved a bit too slow and the acceleration was somewhat weird.

Had a really hard time playing this one, the movement seemed really buggy, but the graphics on this is awesome!

This is a really awesome game! The graphics mood and humor are awesome. I love the hair whipping animation and the pictures being taken of you, really good interpretation of the theme. My only critiques are the controls feel a little stiff and my range feels a little short. A block would be nice as well, but overall a great gamejam game.

okay... complexity and polish of this one is FAR beyond any game jam. Spectacular work!

Those boss fights were pretty awesome! The last one was pretty inventive too. Definitely took me a couple tries. I did run into a few graphical glitches, but other than that it felt and looked pretty solid! That pixel art is superb.

This is such a great jam entry! I absolutely loved it. The movement is a bit choppy sometimes tho, so you might want to take a look at that.

Awesome entry. Still not enough chickens tho : but definitely full points on graphics... And maybe even the rest.

I like it :)) Very fresh, though I had issues with controls, I found that dash is useless ability, at least for me. Seems that you still take damage while dashing and I couldn't perform attack right after dash. But it's difficult to make everything in such short time so it's OK XD

YOU HAVE MY SWORD!

Extremely well made and fun game! When the fans block the exit, the theme really shines through. The enemy AI is pretty smart as well, making it somewhat difficult in some circumstances. Top marks! The only little annoyance is that some collision detection feels a bit too big (or maybe I'm just bad :D).

A fantastically well developed game, you've obviously put together something excellent here! I might be a little suspicious of having to grind to open the last level (considering how many games there are to play in a jam), but the overall quality of the game makes this a minor issue!

Really great entry! I really liked it, loved the art, super interpretation of the theme, the sound effects fit nicely too. I especially liked the mechanic of the autograph, well thought! ;) Maybe one thing that could have been nice, is the possibility to see when you can unlock a specific dungeon. Congrats! :)

This is awesome-- I saw another game with a very similar concept this LD (called something like 'Best Cop Ever') but the execution of yours and how your fans interfere as you get more is far more fitting for the theme. Also, awesome sprite work.

"Chicken Fan" is the best skill ever.

The 'voice acting' on the King is great.

I don't really have many notes, nice work.

Excellent game. Very well polished and a lot of fun. Fits the theme really nicely, had to keep murdering all my fans to get across the spikes.

Great work for a game made in less than 3 days! The art style was fantastic. It gives off a Rogue Legacy vibe. The idea was really funny too, and its really funny how easily you can lose all your fans to one enemy. The controls felt pretty good, and it was strangely amusing to send your fans flying when you dash into them. One of the best LD40 games I've played so far! Good job :D

Really polished game! I found the mixed styles (the knight vs regular people as fans) really funny to look at. The music and SFX are well implemented but that camera flash thing is just too much. Great entry!

Very good overall. I found it extremely hard to avoid enemy attacks at the beginning (maybe a bigger health pool, or faster movement?). The application of the theme was very good! And, the art style is really solid. Great game!

Really well put-together game - the art, music, sound effects, voice acting and gameplay complements each other brilliantly. The mechanics are simple but enjoyable and the difficulty curve is good. I love the bosses, especially the final boss. The way you get fans from destroying crates is hilarious.

There's a number of devs/teams I'm already expecting to submit consistently great entries and here's one of them :D

The take on the theme is hilarious and original, and the game feels immensely polished on every aspect (even some accessibility options, that's a very nice detail!) I still need to grind a bit more so I can reach the last level, but from what I've played I can already tell that this deserves a 5. Congratulations!

PS: The autographs! XDD

I can't believe that this game was made in 72 hours! Art and sound are very polished. The animations have too many frames, especially the bosses. The voices are so funny! Congratulations!

The challenges are a bit unbalanced. I died around 10 times at second dungeon, but beated every boss at first try, except the last who took me two tries. The last dungeon I guess that was easier than the second dungeon.

Bug: I beated the game and tried to fight versus the first boss again and the game frozen!

I couldn't stop playing! Being a famous knight is a hard job. Loved the music and pace. Only thing that took me a while to figure out were the upgrades. I will always choose blue hair though, of course. This game is in another level, good job!

Really fun game, well done. If you were wondering what the game @weeping-rupee was referring to, I believe it is called "Super Cop Hero" https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/$66055 . Interesting how you used the same idea for the theme and ended up with such different games. Good job!

The polish involved here is remarkable, from the sound to the music (.. though I must admit, I did try slashing the fans on several occasions, almost a shame it wasn't possible! It was a great fit to the theme :D)

I was definitely shocked when the autograph stuff popped up in the midst of the game, but it was a nice addition to the camera-flashes and the fan theme!

Also, massive props to having the option for epileptics in the menu (.. signed someone who is one)

Overall, looking forward to more of your work, next level stuff you guys :)

I have to admit i enjoyed this game a lot more than i thought i would. The mob being after you is quite a cool idea and fits well with the theme. Overall i feel that instead of hampering your movement by always trying to move towards you, the fans could probably turn into zombies or skeletons instead.

But congrats its quite polished for a jam game!

Great entry! I love the visuals and sound effects, charming and humorous.

I wasn't able to figure out why I should choose the popularity powerups. I always chose the stat powerups and the only disadvantage was that I had to repeat the first level to raise my popularity enough to enter the final dungeon. Maybe some tuning might have helped here.

Also I feel that the fans, as cool as they were, could have been integrated into the concept more. From what I understand they are only a minor nuisance (except the autograph guy) and it not super necessary to save them because you are rewarded new fans when you beat the boss. I guess it's tough to make the fans more active in hindering the player's progress and at the same time not make the game frustrating.

Overall I enjoyed the game a lot, thanks!

Cool game. You were able to make a lot of polished content, congrats on making such a solid entry!

The game looks quite nice and it's really fun (btw, loved that voice acting).

The only thing I didn't really dig was happing to repeat levels to progress.

Anyway, it's a really cool and polished game. Well done!

Beautiful pixel art, great music, fun gameplay, funny deaths and voices, very polished and a funny interpretation on the theme, there are some graphical glitches, the fans voices can get a bit too annoying and, as a other comment said, adding more gameplay mechanics related to the fans would be nice, but overall one of the beast entries I have played.
