Putting "Universe" in Universal Powers.

In Universal Powers you rule over the entire Universe. Everything and everyone does as you please, but things quickly go for the worse when you start losing your grip on your powers.

You will be faced with several planets complaining about their miserable life under your reign, and you will decide on how to handle the situation. Each action you take will either result in you gaining power, or it being drained. Should be simple right? Well, it is! But how well can you anticipate the result of choosing an option?

This game is pretty funny!

All the references and puns. I can't handle them!

I don't have much to say. It's a pretty fun game to play.

I think that the sound effects are really funny, and the music was also cool. I did not understand a lot of the references, so I was a bit confused, but the overall gameplay was fun and was definitely a new idea.

Linux export was only the 32bit. Doesn’t run on 64bit (IE almost all) Linux machines with out extra effort. Do the x86 + x86_64 universal export from unity to make sure Linux users can actually play.

I'm a bit biased as I love Reigns, but I really had fun with this one. Good job :)

I reached situation 12 :D I enjoyed the whimsy (though I wish it was possible to click through questions/scenarios without waiting for ui animations/pauses)

edit: also the audio was spot on.

Its funny and innovative. I gotta say the sound was good at first but the loop really needed to be a bit bigger as I started getting tired of it.
Good game overall.

Like others said, it's very similar to Reigns but my problem is that a lot of the decisions don't really make sense. Their effect seems to be random. I made it to situation 16.The sound design and the graphics are quite good ! Really reinforces the sifi vibe. Also all those references peppered throughout the game are great ! I found the soy milk one and the "the sun is a deadly lazer" one quite funny even if only a really niche audience will get it. Finally, I really hate to be that guy, but judging by the fact that you have an azerty keyboard, english is probably not your native language and I just wanted to let you know that "intire" is spelled entire. No ill will at all - just saying...

btw check out my response to your comment on my game's page.

I really like this game, although some of the effects do seem a tad bit random. Also, you should probably remove the "mood" category, and make the build a ZIP instead of an installer.

Reached situation 15. As soon as I saw the cover, I knew I wanted to try the game. Well done on the graphic and the music! The effects seemed random sometimes, but the humor offsets the negative effects. Cool game overall!

For someone like me, who thinks that one frame comics contain too much text to read, this was a bit text heavy for me. That probably says more about me than the game though =) I like the comical side of the simulations but I wasn't sure how I could actually make decisions to balance the power bars. Good work though!

It sure is funny, but not any fun. How could it be? It is completely arbitrary!

Played three times, got to situation 15 three times. Only saw one repeated question. That is quite a few events there; a solid amount of content.

Like said the irrationality of the questions is both the blessing and the curse of this project. Absurdity is funny, but it completely undermines the interactive side. Might as well flip a coin to choose left or right.

Destroying asteroids is very relaxing though.

@snowy Hey what's up Snowy! It's HunGARE. I happened to comment on a game you commented on as well, and decided to play your game. I got to situation 16!

Things I liked:

The Art: The sprites, the chair, and especially the background are all very good looking. I am very impressed with all of the art, because it draws me in and keeps me interested.

The Sound/Music: I thought the background music was good, and the sound effects were cute. They were very crisp as well.

The Humor: I don't think I even need to explain. You are definitely placing high for humor!

Things I didn't like:

A bit confusing: Now I am not a text based/choice game veteren, but I found some choices to be confusing. I like the idea, but I didn't always like how the situations were twisted. I mean they were funny like the asteroid making a swimming pool, but it felt more random than anything. I'm not sure exactly how to change this because if you tell the player before hand what their choices will affect then it will be too easy. I just think you should have made the situation outcomes a little more realistic and predictable (not all but some).

Overall I think you did a great job. I think you'll place pretty high!

PS: Lol, you throw the exception, but it hits a deer in the head.

This game is very simple in concept but I really like it. It suits the theme well and the controls are simple - just sit and relax. It is a relaxing game and I really enjoyed playing it. My end situation was 15.
The graphics was great as well as the storytelling. Music and sound effects were also nice.
Overall I thing your game is very cool and end a great entry. Nice work.

I reached situation 16. I felt like I had little feedback or idea of what options were going to do what, as opposed to similar games where one option sounds rather military-oriented and another political, where it's (somewhat) more clear about the outcome. So, I felt like I was just randomly choosing things, though some of them were amusing, which was good =). I like the graphics and the background star field too.

A simple game, but very well executed. I like the humor and the references to other things. This game has potential and you definitely continue it by adding more choices.
Great work!

maybe it was me, but I really had no idea what the options would actually do to my power levels... and shy of playing the game over and over to figure it out.....
