Cool idea! The graphics are simple but decent.
The building possibilitys where hold compact and useful.
But I had some problems with placing the buildings.

I think this is a great entry, keep it up! :smile:

hey good game! you did really well making a strategy / resource management game. overall it feels pretty balanced which is impressive for a ludum dare game. the art is not fantastic, but certainly adequate. i appreciated the unforgiving nature of the game if the player makes an error. the difficulty is actually quite good, it took me a few tries to get good enough to place skyscrapers. it would definitely benefit from adding some music and sfx. i also think the building placement needs a little bit of work, there was one area on the planet in particular, the side with the indented terrain, that it was sometimes impossible to place buildings. this is minor though, as the game is still fully playable. nice job!

This game took me a bit to get into, but was quite fun once I did. I liked that you sometimes had to sacrifice good buildings to stop the planet from exploding. I like the artstyle of the buildings you get early on, with the more hand drawn look, rather than the expensive buildings with the very straight lines. It would also be nice if the buildings were placed with the slope of the planet, and not just on a perfect circle. But overall, it is a pretty nice game!

I love this kind of games. The idea is simple and fun. There is perhaps a bit too much data/info I have too understand and control in the game. Give it some music and some more place to build on, and I will be super happy. Well done.

A solid simulation, but not quite a game yet. You see, while there's a spectacular way to lose (and I did many times before getting the hang of all the stats) there's no way to win! A few different kinds of goals would have been nice, like get to 500 population, 50 ecology or 10000 industry.

I got to two skyscrapers in the end, adding a third blew up the planet again... :boom: How careless of me!

Nice work! Loved the claustrophobic, resource management mechanics. I agree with the people above: all that's missing is a win-condition! Achievement badges maybe, or events that mix up the gameplay. I love the concept though. Great job.

P.S. Watch your floating point errors ;)

MY PLANET HAS BEEN EXPLOSION. This was really nice, love a management game, loved the numbers ticking up and the message that you have to destroy your forests to progress, capitalism!

Cool! I loved the limited space combined with the constant motion, it made the game feel very alive. My only desire would be some kind of quick (colored?) visual indicator as to what you can currently build. A blast to play, great job!

Took me a bit to get the hang of it. At first I just blew up my planet 3 times in a row lol. Once I got the hang of it things started to flow quite easy. X for destroying things would probably be better as a bull dozer or something. Anyway, great job!

I found the space each object took up to be a little annoying, like there was a gap between all of them, and other buildings could differently fit in there.

when placing some of the buildings it would let me place but nothing would be placed, and prevented me from placing something there, restarted the game which fixed it.

other then that I liked the management part, thought it worked very well and quite balanced

an interesting resource management game, although i found it hard to feel a sense of progress or accomplishment. there's a lot of data to take in early on, and i think that detracted from the fun a bit. a good effort though!

At first I was hyped! Wanted to see a really nice little city tycoon type of game.
Then the tutorial was kinda weird. Much information not really nice displayed. But the hand written tutorial also gives it a personal touch.
Then the gameplay:
I could only place stuff on the left side of the planet..
i didnt came very far in the game, cause the jump from the smallest house to the next one was like 50x more food..?
Planet has no space for that.
At least how I played it. Might be wrong.

But its not that bad.
Just needs a bit of balancing.

Is the fact that you made te compo and i made a jam game proof that you are the evil gamedev twin or maybe is the other way around ? either way you made something i'll admit is a bit more fun that what i made, its much more easy to discover each thing, it has better uI. you just bested me in every regard. I admit defeat, but I'll be back, stronger next time. So don't let your guard down . or it will be you who will be drowning in tears next ludum dare. to you good sir or madame . I say good day.

I thought this would be a very neat Unfolding game, and would work really well on Tablet. Maybe adding a Clicker element (Such as the planet) to give the player something to do while the coins are racking up. Great job!

Nice game! I like the simple programmer art and the gameplay workes really well. I had a small problem with the resolution. I used my native screen resolution, and didn't found the erase-button at first, because it was hidden by the taskbar. It appeared just when I hit the fullscreen-button, so I was a little confused at the start.

Anyway, this is a very well made compo-game! Thanks!
