Mind to check our game: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/daxua
We wanted at first to have the ability to choose the game speed before launching the game. And we also think about keeping only simple shapes, to make the game more easy to handle :)
Make sure to check out ours as well! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/raucous+raccard
If you have the time be sure to check out my game too!

The implementation of the theme is really great, very creative and innovative!
There are a lot of additional features, aside from the Tetris game, shooting, and platforming mechanics. Like:
The coins, the three types of "power-ups" (can't think of a better word) inside some of the tetrominos.
It might have been fun to add collision with the tetrominos, so you could jump onto the tower you're building.
It could be a slight problem, if the player cannot jump over the tower anymore to get to the other side, although they can always loop around to get there.
Overall, you guys made a really nice jam entry! :)
I think with adjustments towards difficulty and playability this could become a very nice little, unique game!
If you could check out [my game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/ludum-dare-41-placeholder-1) I'd appreciate it!
The difficulty curve is weird. I made it to about 500k score with no problem, but then I hit a speed malus, panicked, and instantly lost.
Best game I've played so far, 10/10.
One minor thing, but I found that you could pull the block towards you by facing away from the block and shooting. Was this intended? I found this made the game a lot easier, and kind of just made me stay on one side of the screen.
Also for some reason S didn't seem to let me fall down platforms. No idea why. Maybe it's just me.
Anyway great game overall. Great work!
Congrats !
@Potondo It was indeed intented to prevent the player to be in tricky situations, and stuck in the "wrong" side of the screen. It still needs a tweaking to prevent players to stay in the same side for the whole game, which we tried to achieve by putting those coins, thus forcing the player to move all around the screen.
@niterich This is something we have to work on still, we have a coupe ideas on how to improve it and add some new powerups also!
I encountered a bug that happened after I placed a one tile line cleaner in a one tile space. The tiles that spawned were put in front of the player and I walked behind them. For some reason I was able to place I think a small L block (3 tiles) through it and then when the next brick landed it froze the game.
In windowed mode the text at the top doesn't refresh but gets displayed over the old score, leading to me being unable to read the score, in full screen this issue doesn't exist, so it's all good.
I've included screenshots so you can see the issues I have been encountering.

Other than that, awesome game guys! Very enjoyable! :D
About the score layout problem, it will be fixed in 1-2 days, it's just because of bad anchors on Unity : )
feel free to check out our game and we hope you will like it,

So hard and a good example of incompatible genres!
Good work!
A simple input in traditional Tetris game becomes very challenging in this game.Cool!
I liked this entry a lot. I thought the idea was creative, and the execution was done very well. The music and art style really gave it this 80's retro vibe, which I think is what you were going for.
I don't particularly have any suggestions. At one point, pressing down caused the blocks to fall incredibly fast to the bottom, which was really bad for me! I'm not sure if that's a bug or an intended feature, but either way you may want to address it somehow.
Great work!!
@Swarlly Hehe thanks man : ) We'll soon add a frame which tell the next block to appear, to let the player make better choices on his game
@Honest-Dan Thanks for the Twitch stream, and for your feedback. Your game is also really good, and can be publish i think :)
I found it a little tricky to shoot at different angles. It would have been nice to have the ability to jump on the falling tetrominos to make it easier in getting from one side to the next, especially as the level beings to rise!
Awesome job, great entry!
Great game.
Nice job!
Wanna try ours out?

:heart: What I loved
* I had tons of fun, balanced, fast, run & gun, platformer combined. I love it
* Felt VERY polished
* You nailed the jam theme
* Artwork is on point!!
:thought_balloon: My Thoughts
* Window mode is a bit glitchy with the text!
* A co-op mode would be great!
A simple variation of Tetris a platform shooter can do wonders. Congratulations! I’d love for you to review my submission as well.

Thanks for your feedback guys, we're quite agree with you about the difficulty curve. That's why we'll release a build with some improvment on overall speed, and on malus, probably this week end . We also aim to create a Bomb powerup, to have to ability to clean the board more often during games
For the diagonal shoot, we are studying that possibility. We're not sure yet if it's good for our design or not. But we know that the main drawback of our game is the inability to reverse a game when too much blocks are there :)
Very challenging
The controls took some getting used to, they could have been more intuitive. I liked that holding down the jump button for longer gave greater air time but it was quite hard to control in order to be aligned with the tetris blocks so that you can shoot. I think that by pressing spacebar once quickly you should get a bit more airtime because right now you fall down very quickly.
Another thing that I didn't understand was the diagonal shooting. I didn't understand when that happend and how to trigger it. I think that it would have been better to simply shoot straight at all times.
Overall very impressive game. Fun to play and with a bit of polish on the controls I really would like to see a post-jam version of this game. :smiley:
I think the block spawn could be improved, since I started out by getting 3 s-blocks in a row. That's something that would probably take a lot more work though, and it's still fine as is.
Overall, great job!
I hope you continue with the project.

Super fun! It was tough juggling the platformer/shooter with the tetris, which is a tough game to begin with haha! The music was on point and the score system was a nice touch. Can't wait to see how I do on the leaderboards haha

A lot of good idea, a cool graphism (a little too rigid sometimes unfortunatly I think, but I love the back ground ! )
Overall : an excellent game !
Well done :D
@designernap I'm glad you noticed and like that variation :-D
@Rebecca Kremer the leader boards may still be in the works - I'll bring it up during our upcoming Post-Mortem ;-)
@ProdigalSon thanks for taking the time for the precise feedbacks :-D And yeah as you say it would change the game quite a bit - we'll see if we try'n work on a proper v.2.0 version and whats get to be part of it... who knows :-D
@Richnou content que t'aies kifé :-D
