My first entry into ludumdare42 With running out of space theme Is a 2D survivor shooter game

The beginning of story Your lovely old computer had been invaded by the most dangers and harmful viruses You the last hope Try your best to help it before it going to running out of control and space…

You lose this game if you had 10 viruses in the screen in the same time The game contains 3 viruses with a different health And look to the top right screen to see storage bar that will help you know if you are going to win or lose

Made in just feu hours I can’t work enough to complete everything in my head Because I had a lot of others things to do but I’m quite happy by this game it least just prototyping

Made by Unity2018 game engine Adobe photoshop Audacity

When I started playing your game my initial thought was: "wow that's the 3rd person making a game about windows space running out." Then your theme music started playing and I was like: "OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING"

Loved the little shooter, very fluid and fun to play, although losing brought back the worst memories of windows 95 dying on me lol

Great entry, I loved it!

I agree with hdmmy, the shake is cool. I thought the game was well done! I believe there is polishing ends here and there that could have been improved, but it was really fun to play! I liked the graphics and the windows screen background. Man, It has been a while since I have seen that old microsoft background

Nice Game overall but I think adding these will make it much better:
- Better Collision mask for the bullet and the viruses. (You have to shoot the middle of the virus sprite for it to take damage and it really annoys me)
- Different Weapons or powerups maybe.
- Deleting the white background of the virus sprites.
- Any kind of warning before losing the game. (something like; **VIRUS OVERLOAD** might be good 😄)
- Not allowing the player to get outside of the room. (right now it can)
- Bullets create SFX **every time** they shoot.

Well, that definitly brought back some memories and the menu-music is awesome.
On the other hand I found it too dfficult, cause I always died after like 20 seconds with a score of about 50 and didn't even know, why I died. Is there any indication I've missed? In my opinion viruses should have either less health (1 or 2 hit), move slower, move at a constant speed or have bigger hitboxes.

PS: you should put the music on iTunes :smile:

Sounds could be a bit pulled down. I think the camera shake should only be there on enemy death, and some life bars on the enemies would help, since they are not single shot deaths.

Audio is nice, I liked the windows bootup remix. The collisions on the bullets could have been a little more forgiving; I found myself missing a lot of the time when I thought I would hit the enemy. Additionally, I'm not sure what triggers the end condition --- I just found myself at the blue screen kind of arbitrarily. Were there too many viruses on screen? Did I run out of time? Etc.

Solid game, I enjoyed playing it.

A nice first entry. Liked the very original take on the audio, but had difficulty understanding the mechanics (what's that thing in the middle? Why are there different files? Are some stronger than others? etc.). Having a huge idea is a very difficult thing to deal with, especially under time pressure, but that's what practice is for ;) . If you get the chance, try improving your English by reading or watching videos with subtitles - it can help a lot!
