I'll Cover You by kazoozee
This Game is an adaptation of the classic action movie troupe where the Hero courageously sacrifices him or herself to allow the rest of the party to survive. Control the hero with wasd and aim with the mouse. Don't let the aliens get to your family! The Tileset assets came from the recent Humble Bundle sale while the rest of the assets were created by the one and only Danica Sills. Unfortunately I only had one day to work on my submission but I have to say it is only mildly terrible considering this is my first time. Please be gentle. :P

I think you managed to build a game fitting to the event theme. I like the approach about sacrificing oneself instead of others. I would've liked if the countdown timer didnt start before the first text, so i can read it first. I think it would've been interesting to see the aliens come from differnet directions and maybe each type of alien having its own attack. GJ on your first entry :)

Pretty fun but there was glitch a couple times where I would just get sent off the map. I audibly chuckled the first time I saw the message that I was incompetent. Good Job!

It seems this can be some real fun, but it's lacking contrl instructions. Other than that, good entry.
