Buzzy Bee, a Ludum Dare 39 Competition bee game.

Your job as a bee is to collect nectar from all the flowers in the most efficient way. And doing that with the limited stamina you have. What is the most efficient way you may ask? Why, when the flower is at the most prettiest of course!

So remember: A young bud has none, a dead flower's nectar is gone.

NEW! HTML5-port
NEW! Softer sounds (don't wanna pop ears now)

Please let me know what you think. Good and bad!

Man, I like it very much that you made it soo the score is based on percentage. That way the player knows how good he is.As an example, mine score is 98,67%

32%, looks like my career as a bee is over before it began ;_;

Anyway, interesting take on the theme. I liked the sound effects, they gave a nice feedback for actions.

There were some nice touches in there. I liked the attention to detail, such as making the mouse cursor a bee even before you started playing the game, and the little buzzing noises. I wouldn't last very long as a bee though.

Nice work. I like the cartoon style of the background image.

Cool! I liked the different sound effects when you collect the nectar at different stages of bloom. Makes it clear for you when you miss. I managed to collect 93% :)

Simplistic game for a quick play. Timing when flowers are fully bloomed instead just clicking on them as they appear gives additional depth to the gameplay. Game is pretty short but interesting and graphics feel really lighthearted. My best score is 83%

Wow, this is pretty tricky. I don't have the flickshot skills needed for this.

That said, I at least got 54%.

I am NOT very good at this game. The most I got was 51% :)

The different pitched sound effects to indicate how close you were to perfect timing was a great touch.

Highest I could get was 75%, so I guess I would be an average bee?

Love the simple concept, no unnecessary gameplay elements, WYSIWYG to the max!

The flower animation was cool, it would've been nice if the bee had some animation, especially if you click the flower at the exact right time.

Also sometimes when I want to click a "good" flower suddenly a new flower pops up in front of it, reducing my score.

Overall very well done!!

Apparently I am not very good at being a bee. The game was simple but it worked out very well. Loved the sound effects and the quick gameplay. Nice work!

Took me some tries, but I did get up to a bit over 75%. I thought this was a cool simple game, and you kept it nice and quick to play through so I could want to try again to do better. The different sound effects were key in terms of feedback to let me know when I was doing well, nice work!

If I were to suggest one change it would be about adding little more visual impact to the action of gathering a flower, because at first when the flower didn't disappear I thought I had to stay and repeatedly click on one flower.

Impressive that one of the other commenters got over 98%! This is a real test of reflexes.

Fun quick play with nothing getting in the way of engaging with the game, thanks!

Your game has nice art and a clear concept, I find it hard to play with a laptop trackpad, max 20%. Your game would be very fun to play on a touch device. Good job!

The bee cursor is adorable. :D

That was a neat concept in such a short time. I agree with a couple of the other comments - giving both the visual cues and audio clues as to how you did each flower added both depth and rapid player feedback to what they were doing. Another layer of depth could be to add different flowers that gave more or less to the pollination percentage. Overall though -- a very cute and fun game to continue to work at to get a high percentage. Very nicely done! :)

This almost plays like Elite Beat Agents or OSU, where you have to time your taps to the beat of the music. I find this mechanic to be very satisfying. Consider how you might be able to spice it up to differentiate this from those titles (like maybe competing bees that try to steal your flowers, or bogus flowers that are actually predators.)

It's not the most original idea I've seen. It felt nice to play. The volume of the SFX was fine, but it could use a bit more sound(like ambiance or bee buzzing). I liked how you could hear how close you were to the right time at clicking by the sound. It still could use some polish. Nice entry!

It's a simple game, I think some variety of flower with them having different levels of nectar, or needing to spread the pollen between rounds might of added more depth to it. The bee cursor was a nice addition.

I figured out that you had to click it. Everything else was pretty straight forward. You got it all up and moving. Nice! I'd love to see more variation on what you can do with the beeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I got 77% on my second attempt. For a game with such simple mechanics, this one could use a lot more "juice" in the animations and sound. But congrats on finishing!

**Overall game impression:** A clicker game :D first one I played, neat. I personally liked the flowers blooming and dying animation. Had to turn down my mouse DPI to be able to get more flowers xD too high DPI didn't allow me to have good enough precision. On my 3rd try I got 83% Good job :D

**Suggestions and comments on improvement:** Maybe some kind of background music and make clicking sound quieter a little maybe?

Simple and fun! Good job! I didn't like the sound effects and I would prefer to have the game a bit slower but the bee would have to take some time to go from flower to flower.

Cute! Very straightforward clicker. I do like that it's a bee though... somehow that seems to add some sense of urgency to everything (and it makes it more adorable). Great work for 48 hours!

Nice take on the whack a mole genre. It was pretty fast, but that made it enjoyable. Trackpads make it much harder though. Graphics were decent, music would be great. Fit very well together overall.

Interesting take on the "whack-a-mole" concept!

The timing-element makes it interesting, and the sound feedback was a really nice touch. Some music might add even more to the mood.

The success percentage score at the end of the game, further increased the replayability.

>An efficient bee,
>exhibits careful timing,
>collecting nectar!
