Punchey! (VR ONLY) by shadowbrain

This game is VR + Motion controllers only.
Punching and more in VR!
It has a full tutorial level so it should be fairly self explanatory how to play it.
This is using Unity and SteamVR's Unity plugin, as such it should work with anything with motion controllers that works on SteamVR.
You can rotate your playspace using your touchpad (or joystick, tilting it and) by pressing it in.

EDIT: when I setup room scale I found a couple of issues. Firstly I went in through the roof vent on the tutorial but then ran out of power and was stranded and secondly the vent to the intel room was a bit too high, although it was fine on the first run...
The moving-mechanics are very cool. For rotating, I think, only tilting the sticks should be enough, instead of additionally need to press them. It probably would feel more fluent then.
Good job!
Progress: Unfortunately I got stumped on the second level. After a few tries, I managed to get the briefcase up to the rooftop, but was simply out of juice by then. I also found myself a number of times punch-sliding only to find my hand had gone over a bot's shoulder. In any case though, the sense of relief and empowerment when finding the charger on the second level was great!
Fun moment: I actually did a little dance and *tried* to flip two robots the bird after just barely cutting into and escaping through a ceiling-hatch. It was an intense moment!
Usability note: Unfortunately my left arm is pretty messed up, and that came into play. In Climbey I'm able to do pretty well because I can often opt to use my right arm (no per-hand energy mechanic/preference), but it also seems like the difference where Climbey is sudden downward motions (gravity-assisted) while Punchey uses sudden upwards motions (fighting gravity). Still, the motion of punch-sliding across the floor felt great, and was much more reasonable across both arms! :)
P.S. It felt so wooden to be using the standard vive controllers instead of the knuckles. Massive presence-jealousy there!
As other people have mentioned, it took me a while to figure out how to "punch yourself over the wall," but I eventually understood and had fun. The one thing I'd ask for is a health indicator.
Probably should've made that more clear somewhere.
Unfortunately I got stuck in the second level because I didn't managed to jump in the second floor and after a few tries my energy was empty and all batteries were used. Checkpoint would have been nice.
Another, not really a negative thing, just a curiosity, was that I couldn't figure out how to get to the suitcase in the tutorial level. The entrance was very high, and I could only come up with two solutions: 1) be really tall or climb on a chair IRL, or 2) be very accurate with your power-jumps. I climbed a chair.
Overall, a really cool VR experience.
### Pros
* Really interesting take on the theme
* Smart use of VR, felt fresh
* Clear instructions
* Smooth animations and clean graphics
* Didnt feel repetetive
### Cons
* Sound effects were not on the same level as the visuals, felt off and could use some more work. They got repetetive and "stung" a little in my ears with headphones on. (Especially the lightning/charge sounds)
* Some of the death sounds on the robots sounded a bit off, Im guessing you went for a Portal feel?
### Suggestions
* More feedback when punching enemies, have them blow up or fall apart in a million pieces and/or have insane knockback on them.
* Soundtrack
* Robots speech sounds, run them through a bit crusher to give them a more robotic feel.
Note that my cons are small things, the entry is solid and I enjoyed playing it! :thumbsup:

Sometimes when I hitting I also jumping. So I found a workaround - make one fist forward and swing with another to approach to the enemy. This looks fun, but it works.
Great job !
