Also did you pick the name REDTUBE because of its real life counterpart or is it a just a fiction thing?

Hey there, I just played your game and the gameplay is really cool ! I tried many fake url but can't find any easter egg, sadly haha
Anyway; I had a lot of fun, until great-pipe.com where I couldn't find how to manage to reach it. I'm stuck man ! Where can I buy the full solution book ? :p
Really cool game, and the VPN character made me laugh haha

EDIT: shit I just played the bug version ?! So i'm now stuck on the same page: greatone.com haha Nice game man !

Great concept ! Tried the bug fixed version on PC and went until the key breaker window, but I had another blocking bug : When I put the windows on the top left hand corner, I can't move them anymore, nor close them. :(
But the realization is really impressive and I will try again later when votes will be available !

Great game with managorish feeling. Stuck in the wall paper website moment, but try again later (too bad we can't save...)
Great job!

Really cool concept!

Played the fixed osx version and got stuck at key breaker part. Just like @yami-no-tenshi-8, one window got stuck on to left corner and also blocked me from accessing the readme file again. Still managed to reach it with some stair building and got the key breaker "opened" but either can't figure out what to do next or ran into another bug.

And I'm pretty sure I already know what I need to do once I get access to that wall paper site @dunin mentioned.

Inspired by a certain previous winner are we?
Anyway, it's more than different enough to stand on it's own!
A nice little adventure, with a twist.

I had some problems though, even in the bug-fixed version (the other one wouldn't show me the way to gmail). Like the time I was able to close the explorer-window while Mr.VPN was still in it. (I tried to reproduce it, but the second time it *did* prevent me from closing the window...)

*Edited To Add:* Oh, just a small tip: Please don't name your zip or executable (only) after the jam. Quite a lot of people do that, and some of us like to download a few games first and then play them... Please use the actual name of the game or even your own!

We love the concept and the aesthetics. Sure, there are bugs but if you overlook them it was a fun experience. We love a good puzzle game and when we eventually figured out how to get to greatone we got super excited. The only problem we had was unlocking the final door in greatone. Because we didn’t finish the game we’ll vote in the categories that we see fit. Have an awesome day and hope to see you in the next jam!

*(We'll be back again on Sunday when the judging starts)*

Great idea. This reminds me vaguely of "Window-Frame". Right now I'm also stuck on TheGreatOne but I love everything about this game.

Man, I love the idea a lot, although it is very similar to Windowframe.

The graphics are neat, although a purist might complain that pixel sprites need to be scaled manually in order keep them looking good (spoiler: I didn't do it either). There is one glitch for me that shows the parts of the windows that are outside the "screen".

The sound effects are appropriate, but music would have been nice.

The game has a lot of nice touches, with the realtime clock, "activate windows message" and pop up windows.

I would love to complete the game, but even the bugfixed version has me stuck on the breaker room, where the server in undergoing maintenance. I think the main problem with puzzle games is that they have to be absolutely bug-free. Once the player hits a snag, they will tend to think it's another bug instead of just a puzzle they can't solve and that ruins all the fun in solving the puzzles.

In case this isn't a bug, maybe someone can give me a hint how to solve the breaker puzzle. It must have something to do with changing the server time. I tried attaching www.thenight.com as I thought this may change the server time to night, but nothing happened. I even changed my system time so that the game time would be between 8 and 10 am, but it didn't work either.

Overall I love the idea and execution of your game and I would easily rate it higher if you could iron out some more bugs (or I find out how to solve that damn breaker puzzle).

This was a very neat concept. I enjoyed the puzzle solving bits quite a lot, though I got stuck. I didn't know how to get the 5-digit code for the little computer, and I couldn't get the second light on the locked door in the red level (I got the breakkey one to work).

Very cool concept.

Best puzzle game ever and we have a winner! Hard to believe you can finish such a complete game, with so many incredible puzzle designs, in mere 48 hours. I do love the theme of GFW breaking, and how you implemented multiple 'small world' in separate windows. I feel there is even some kind of philosophy inside: a computer window represents a small world through world-wide web. Is our universe also a 'window' watching by some one of a super high level life form? Wow..let me stop right here. 细思恐极。

I think you just did everything right for a Compo game. 10/10

Very interesting game. I haven't finish yet (it's quite difficult) but it's very cool, the puzzle are great design, cool graph and very good mood.
Maybe some music can be cool, and more affordance for the gameplay comprehension.

Incredibly great puzzle game for only 48 hours, with a social satirist topic about Chinese GFW. The main task - breaking GFW consists of a series of small puzzles. The small puzzles are nicely connected, so that solving the previous one naturally leads to the next one. Graphics, SFX, interaction experience are all great. To be nitpicking, some puzzles involve platformer elements, which does not really seem to be relevant to the GFW breaking theme and not offering challenge either (but I understand they are probably just way of presentation). Program has minor bug (but not preventing me from getting to the end). Overall amazing work for Compo.

Awesome concept! Maybe a stretching the theme a liiittle though. Mr. VPN had some nice pixel art and I liked his footstep dust particles. Good juice.

Very innovative gameplay! Unfortunately, I got stuck trying to figure out the password at THE-TOP-HK.com (played both Compo and Stable versions). I love how you implemented a simple windowing system in Unity; that must have been hard to implement.

智商捉急,打了一会就卡住了,不过依然不能阻止我对这款游戏的喜爱。创意超赞,美术出彩,主题意味深远(在中国受苦的都知道~)。谜题的设计若能更循序渐进一点会更好。

Pretty good! The compo version didn't work for me at all (couldn't double click and open anything) so I played the stable version (on windows). I got stuck after going to the wallpaper page. I was also able to push Mr. VPN off the level by moving a window and pushing him off the edge. Would like more hints on how to proceed, but pretty cool idea! I wish the platforming was a bit better since Mr. VPN seemed to get stuck on edges sometimes, but good execution. Nice job!

Edit: Figured it out, but it's pretty difficult to do so, since people may not pay attention to the task bar. But saying that is at least a hint for people to figure out. Overall I think more puzzles introducing the mechanics in the game, otherwise people won't be aware of what pieces they have to solve the puzzle.
