Outstanding work... gameplay art and music were all wonderful and having to explore each stage again with a different set of tools made a lot of use out of a small space. Really great job making such a professional looking and feeling game in such a short amount of time.

Great graphics and humorous, good job! The sound was a bit crackly, I'm not sure if that was intentional or not sorry!

That's... wow. An actual GBA game during LD?

Loved the art, the gameplay and the fake ending, but the second level was a bit too confusing.

@maytch thanks! Was it the web version you were playing? The web emulator might run slowly for some people, which would lead to crackling audio because the GBA music playback is tied to the FPS.

This so good! I need to try the emulator still, but I love the concept and looping levels. Hot pixel art and beautiful soundtrack are just a plus. One of my favorites this jam for sure.

Art is wonderful and level reusability is awesome, don't understand how people create such cool games during 3 days)

Loved the level design, how to include three different paths in so little space. Also an unexpected second level when I thought it was the end... Amazing. A round entry. Thanks.

Outstanding art! It was a bit easy to get lost sometimes because you can't see very far, but I loved the looping map mechanic. Good boys both of you!!!

Really love the GBA aesthetic, because you know it IS the actual GBA. But I love the colors and animations. Looking at the comments I didn't realize there was a second level, thought it was a repeat. Also the theme was well done.

I tried the game on a real device, and it crashed randomly, and locked the entire device until I restarted it (maybe there's some memory leaks or something like that).

So I had to complete in with the emulator. And I'm glad I did:

- The gameplay is very engaging and fun, the pacing is great, everything feels polished and balanced.
- The level design is excellent, the always going down mechanic was really enjoyable and gave the game a very good flow, it never felt frustrating or too easy.
- The music has a strong Fez vibe, every track is good, and the fact that it is somewhat dynamic depending on the chosen path made it even better. This is one of the factors that made me enjoy the game the most. I'm still listening to the credits song right now as I'm writing this.
- The graphics look exactly like these of any good GBA game. Perfectly done.

This game really feels like a GBA game, and a good one. 5/5 from me in every category. I hope you win the Jam.

i am a good boy!! enjoyed the experience, sfx and visuals were really good, gameplay felt good. I ran into a bug when i was going for my second gem and had no jump + no blaster, i couldnt take damage so i was running on the spikes lol and completed that gem cycle. ggs.

Could have dug out my ol NDS fat but decided to just run it on VBA instead. Great job, I love this and it hits all the right notes especially with the music. Thanks for reminding me what a glorious system the GBA was. I'm not sure what else to say here, obviously the actual game is a bit short but it's still interesting. I wish you could see just a =tad= more of the level at once but I understand zooming out too far would kind of be an issue.
The different music variants though, top notch...

Any chance of some devlog/post-mortem writeups?

Awesome game! felt like I was playing real GBA game. I loved that it felt like I was on another planet. The music and graphics enhanced that feeling of being alone on a mysterious planet. Very nice work!
