Cell battles (not a very good name I know) is a strategy game where you have to control your cells to take control of cell spawners and grow your, otherwise decreasing, power over each map.

Control cells by holding left click and hovering over cells so that they darken, then release the mouse when it is in the target location. Releasing near a spawner will order your sells to try and capture it. To complete a level, you must control all spawners. The camera can be moved using middle mouse button and to cancel the currently selected group of cells from being moved, you can pres right mouse button. Escape can be used to pause the game.

Sometimes cells will merge with each other, these makes a bigger more powerful cell which has more health and does more damage against other cells.

Thank you for playing, I will try to play and rate anyone who comments on my game.

Linux build works but might have a lower frame rate than it should, now with added 64 bit support (I think). I can't get a WebGl build as my main shader doesn't compile for it for some reason.

If everything is purple, I'm sorry, its the same thing as for the WebGl build. I think there is no issue for Windows but on Linux it has happened for some (but I think not all) people.

Made with: - Unity 3D - Visual Studio - Notepad++ - PhotoShop - BFXR - Beep Box

Hey. I can't seem to find the link to your game

Looks like you only did a 32 bit export from unity for Linux. Most Linux users are going to be using a 64 bit OS (unless they like to be limited to ~3GB of ram). Please provide the Universal (x86 + x86_64) export, that way all users will be able to play your game.

I love this game! It's amazing. My favorite so far. A bit confusing with the controls but once you get a hang of it it's really chill. Kinda feels like I'm playing a total war game or smth :D

I truly love it! Played it some more and it is really fun! Completed the entire thing. I think that this would be a nice fit on mobile. Wish there were more levels! First LD game that made me longing for more :-) Can't seem to download the source from bitbucket however, do I need to download software just to download the source?

Interesting game :) I thought the controls were a little wonky, especially using the middle mouse button to move the camera, but other than that it was fun.

Also, @jason-kennedy is correct. The Linux version is only 32 bit. The Universal export will fix that issue, although it might make the file size larger (I don't use Unity very much so I'm not sure :P )

Overall fun game, nice job finishing the compo!

The cell effect is nice (a bit too nice for my PC ;) ). A fun game to play.

I love this! I don't think I really have anything bad to say at all, so great job!

-I really like the blob effect. That, coupled with the basic colours and grey background, make for a striking visual style.

-The controls are very simple once you get used to them and the game is easy to play and intuitive. I don't mind the control setup, although a couple other users noted difficulty with them, so perhaps allowing customisation would be good.

-The music is great. It's very catchy, and the sound effects don't start to get annoying, which is common in LD games.

-It's very addictive. There's something so satisfying about taking over whole portions of the map and watching your opponents try in vain to take back the spawners you just stole from them.

The only thing to note really is that it's a bit easy, but that isn't really a problem. Although it might be cool to add a 'hard mode' with more advanced or aggressive AI. Great job with this game.

The Linux build does work : ) but I'm having a terrible framerate : ( It's probably because of the framerate, but it seemed like it soon became almost a stalemate of sending things and not conquering (I'm having trouble capturing the double ones, for example).

This is the game I most enjoyed so far!! The control takes a bit to get a hang on but then its just load of fun. Since you made the game in Unity I strongly suggest that you make it available in the browser with the HTML5 build and maybe host it in Itchio! Congrats on the game!

I have to know how you did the blob effect, what was really awesome. I really found myself getting into the game and I even cheered when I beat all of the other colors! The sound effects were well done and really fit the game. I had a lot of fun playing this. Job well done!

I am impressed! I usually don't like RTS games and am not very good at them, but the controls for this game were perfect and tight, super intuitive. I felt like I was actually competent at moving my forces where I wanted them. Taking control of nodes to produce more forces and assaulting enemy nodes worked well. Graphics are fun. Good work!

This was so cool, really got into it and had a blast, kinda reminds me of risk, what would be nice is someway to see each cells stats without the need for a health-bar or something, perhaps desaturating them as their health gets lower? Anyway, really cool game and very addicting! :v:

Intereseting game. I liked the design of cells and the music/sounds are well done too. I just think the controls can be better. Good job :)

So nice idea, a different point of view to the topic. I started to be addicted to the game! :-D I like so much the graphic and sounds of the cells. I like it. Really nice idea and the levels are so challenging! :-) Nice job.

Pretty good game. At first I was a bit frustrated when I couldn't beat the second level. But after a bit of practice, it became very enjoyable and tense. I didn't understand that ending your clic on a cell was ordering to capture it, I though it was enough to had cells around them. So maybe a feedback, like making the cell glow when you hover it would help. I also had trouble with cell not wanting to die and living surrounded by my color. But it's maybe connected, I was just not giving the right order. Anyway, great job, a very addicted game.
