I love the level design, the controls are really rigid and some plateform phase can be difficult but it's great anyway!
The end and the little story is cool! I have only found 1 secret.
Side note : If you die before getting the power glove you can't pass the first door

oops! We didn't think of that bug! We'll be sure to fix it.
Thanks for your feedback!
For audio design, I loved the synth the plays as a text sound effect. The background track worked well with the mood and supported the sfx of the game.
Graphically, I can tell a lot of thought went into the sprites and animations. The look appealing and serve to enhance the mood.
Spoilers for the game's story in this paragraph:
The story really hit hard. It managed to get across a ton of emotion in such a short time, and that's quite commendable. The poetic justice of the first robot sacrificing himself just so you could go on to sacrifice yourself in turn is phenomenal. The mysterious voice also has great characterization, and how it makes you feel important and loved only to lead you to the cold ending. I do feel somewhat betrayed by the voice, but I also feel as though it still appreciates me for what I did. (Oh, and also I totally dig how roboy bows when giving his power to the master at the end.)
Gameplay was the most lacking of the elements, that's not to say it was bad though. controls were very clunky and hard to get used to. The levels were decent, but most of their difficulty came from the awkward controls.
i would have loved to see more levels and more elements to puzzle around.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this game and I hope it gets much more attention. cheers.
If we had a few more hours, we would have added more to the gameplay elements and made the environment more interesting (dern!).
Some bugs I noticed:
I ended up running into a bug where you are underneath the floating platforms, and if they come down on your head or you jump upward into the bottom, you get stuck to the platform and cannot get off unless you press the k button to drain all your juice.
Also, I'm unsure why the game was asking me to press A at first, which I couldn't get to work, but after loading it 3 times it turned into K, which made it so I could play. Was it the 'A' key?
I wasn't able to get to the end yet. There's a rectangular laser obstacle that I found pretty difficult. Thanks for sharing this game, and I hope it gets a lot of attention :D
It felt like I was playing a fully completed project. The controls were tight and responsive, the audio was on point with the narrative, there were secrets, good color schemes to fit the levels, and a good story.
I kindof wish there were a bit more 'dying robots' that you could collect their parts from, but that is probably something to add with more time.
Thank you very much for creating this experience, I would love to see this as a full on fleshed out game. Btw, that is probably the best 'closing out of the game window' I've experience in a long time.
I believe the 'A' key tip is if you wanted to use a game pad (Xbox 360 controller).
I love the art of this game! I was playing it and enjoying it a lot, but then it bugged and then crashed :(
I was trying to get down the platform but it keep going up, so the roboy gets stuck in the middle and I couldn't get out of there. And after that the game just crashed. I took a screenshot so you can see it.
But it is a really nice game, I loved the concept and as I said, the art is really nice :)
Nice graphics and animations, story and stuff. Just the gameplay and secrets were a bit annoying.
But that's fine for a LD game.
@eremiell, thanks for the request. We don't currently have the capacity to port the game to Linux or HTML5, but we'll keep that request in mind!
