[SHIP-WRE-KT] by webthingee

LB-KT–or "Katie", as humans say– is a robot from times forgotten. LB-KT wakes up to find herself on a deserted island, without her battery charger and with a lot of questions.
Charge your battery before you run out of juice! Explore the mysterious island wisely: the more effort you spend, the less battery you have left. Will you find your way through the puzzle to the charging station, or will it all end with the blue screen of death?

Gameplay was linear, and the end came far too soon. I wish you guys had had more time to flesh it out! I would play a longer version of SHIPWRE-KT if only to listen to more lovely tunes.
@kristinamay & @yazara our apologies, I think you experienced a bug that we found but had difficulty replicating/fixing. You don't need to detatch, but randomly the hit area for the final door would sometimes not appear, leaving you to wonder WTF happened until your battery drained :( Sorry again about that. But if you want to see the end, try the door again, as most of the time, the hit area and hover states will appear.
As some have said, yes, 'not enough time' was our theme this Jam. We had a lot of ideas and interactions that we had to strip. This was my first point and click adventure game, and now I know how much work it entails! Not trying to make an excuse of course, I am still happy with what we have accomplished, but, yes, we totally hear you about the length and linearity of the game, as we had many more complexities we had intended to include.
... Some of the things we started but were not able to complete, if anyone's curious: a level you go backwards through instead of a loop; many doors that dont open, to hide the ones that do; lockers that spend energy to open, with all empty except the one LB-ZD would hide in; videos for the cut scenes instead of static imagery; menus and other detailed UI to match the style; more sound effects, like angry beeping, haha; more dialog with a romantic subplot (and more beeps); the game level itself, such as a broken fire escape for the zig-zag area of the stage.
Good entry, hope you'll keep on working on it !
I did encounter a couple glitches, mostly from clickable options being unresponsive. I dealt with that mostly on the hidden hatch, but after a refresh I was able to get through just fine!
I like the premise a lot, and I think there's a lot of fun stories you can tell with these characters! Can't wait to see if you guys keep going with this idea!
Standout thing for me are the tunes, love the title and the lab music. Also really like the dithered 3D scenes for the cutscenes, adds some flavor when mixed with the 2D gameplay.
Really great overall, nice work! :D
Some points to help you improve the game : Fill the black wall with something; add an idle animation for the robot.
My regards to the sound artist ;)
