Its really good but at the start, if you miss the jump you are trapped so I had to restart the game otherwise everthing is good.

Well Done! It took a little time to figure out how to close the skill menu but otherwise really neat!

gosh darn dude this is absolutely amazing! I'm impressed you managed to do much of any of this, with skill trees and spells and rpg-elements. It's really good!

Holy darn dude how much time did you use on your levels?! That's so many! How???

@theyellowgreninja Thanks! The effort in those areas was siphoned from area in other areas (art, story, etc)xd The levels took maybe a fifth of the time? Thanks for playing!

Impressive amount of content. There is a lot of RPG to it. And lots of music too!
I don't quite like how the ui covers so much of the game space.
I felt a lot of mood from the phoenix talking to you all the time. Overall I liked it!

Your game is pretty awesome, I really like it

The graphics are wonderful, and the game is so fun and interesting!

I like the way to implement the theme (sacrifices must be made)!

Great!!!!!

I had to double check that this is not a jam entry :-) Great game, great music, great art. I've got no complaints at all, even the gameplay is on track :-) One really minor thing, it is a bit too easy, but overall a very good entry!

Wow you must've put some long nights in! Good job. However, the game got easier without the companion! (And also, it's quite easy as is).

I'm impressed you managed to do this much in 48 hours! The art and music are great! I will say that the game becomes a bit broken at 14 dexterity. I think your calculations for attack speed don't work at that number, as the basic attack basically became lightning fast. Everything dies immediately. And sometimes after that you'll see damage numbers on yourself from no cause. I think you also might get multiple XP drops from things, too. I ended the game at something like level 74, which seemed excessive. Although the gameplay was simple, it's not really that different from MapleStory, which is how the game felt a couple times. You seem to have a good engine and framework going on, though. I hope you extend it and make more!

Thanks for your input!

The way experience level ups are calculated involves 2 variables, the maximum level and the total amount of experience needed to reach that level. Last minute, I decided 1 million experience to reach level 99 was too much, so I changed it to 100k and published it. So yea, balancing issues xD

In addition, yes the dexterity is broken. I got lazy and simply made every point of dexterity bring up the number of attacks per second by a number (i think 0.5) so it gets incredibly broken.

I noticed the random damage too, I thought I had fixed it as I was never able to replicate it again. Will take another look!

I brought a tera burning character up to 200 last week, so perhaps that is why it had many similarities to Maplestory. xD

This was almost like a Prototype for a Sidescroller RPG I had in the back of my head, so maybe I will take it somewhere, one day.

Thanks again for playing!

Wow, so much work in 48 hours. Balancing is the main thing the game needs, but it's so hard to balance games during a game jam. You did *great* !

@christina-antoinette-neofotistou Thanks!

I think I've learned my lesson to not make RPGs in game jams now xD

Wow. I'm impressed at how much you were able to put into the game in such a short time. Unlocking new abilities and testing them out was fun. I really enjoyed playing this one.

There's so much packed into this game, I'm amazed. I love the atmosphere of art and music, and I especially appreciate the gentle palettes of vegetation, sky, and village houses. That makes the bright red and harsh black pop all the more! Also, I love the humor in your trailer. "Talk to useless, friendly people" ^_^ My favorite game pastime.

Very charming little game. Perk system is fabolous. The score is wonderfull. What software did you use for the music?

I like having little or no UI if possible with games like these. Personally, I think the healthbar UI at the bottom is taking up more screen-space than needed.

Ahh I never got to replacing the HUD so it is quit obstructive.

I used FL Studio with basically all default plugins (a little nexus here and there)

Thanks for playing!

Cute little entry. One can see that you had planned for much more (with the village shops, the gold, etc., even a mini map, wow!) and ran out of time… (like all of us ). One thing that was bothering me was the UI that was hiding everything when I was going down, and maybe the dialogues that popped while I was fighting, but other than that, it was really nice. I finished the game twice to see a bit of the other abilities, and I was sad that my Phœnix left me each time. The music and sound effects were pleasing.

@sarwin I thought I was stuck there, too, but there is actually a double jump!

Thanks for playing!

Yea, I've never been good at making UI's, and this one was no different than most of my other game jam entries. The Dialogue just came up when the player walked into certain areas, and I didn't have the presence of mind to really fine tune the levels.

You've probably noticed some of the abilities are a little, lack luster, I think half of them were made in the last 3 hours xd

Thanks again!

I can't belive that you managed to get this much done in jsut 48 hours! I am very impressed. The game was a short enjoyable experience and had enough content to keep me playing all the way through. This may be the best compo entry I have tried so far!
