I played it on mac. it seems it would eat jump inputs at the worst times, which made me die :(

I think the controls could be more intuitive.

I like the idea though, it was a fun game! one of the better ones I've played so far.

Cool idea, and well executed, but the controls are a bit counter-intuitive. I'm used to Tetris games using a generic button like Z to flip the pieces, and down to make the piece drop faster, but in this game it's swapped. Still, good idea, and a relaxing alternative to some of the more hectic games that the jam has to offer. Nicely done

I also loved the Tetris game and this really gave it an extra level of difficulty.
Well done. I think with some nicer graphical elements this can be a popular mobile game.

Very good idea, but i found a bug: I died, retried and than there were 2 pieces instead of 1.
I liked the soundtrack and the game was fun to play :)

I really like the idea!
That was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the gif.
I found it harder than it seems, though.
I agree with the counter-intuitive controls, the down arrow to speed up the pieces and a separate key to flip would have fit better I think.
I don't know if this is because I did not go far enough, but the sound track is maybe a bit too simple (even if great!). A tetris-inspired game could have a more heady music theme.

I criticize a bit, but I liked it :)

(Oh! and I didn't know virtual piano, it seems interesting to use!)

Very nice idea. Love tetris and this iteration makes it cheerful to play. A little bit difficult at first hand to manage everything but cool idea.
I see that you try to get the best out of the platformer and the tetris game. Maybe with some more polishing and "goals" it woud be really fun to play.
Like being able to "climb" your tetris onto the top :)
well done !

Pretty cool take on tetris. I kept getting stuck inside holes, but was able to build my way out sometimes, which was interesting. The top line often gets way too high to react and place the pieces properly. Simple and clean 1-bit graphics, I liked that. Music was pretty relaxing, but that was probably made to counter the fact that the game was so hectic? Dunno, haha.
No bugs or breaks that I found so that's a plus, great work!

Nice idea and good enough realization for jam. But theme seems like a stretch.

Very nice idea with the theme and a simplistic look and feel of the game. Always a bonus with music and not much to criticize about except for a bug i found. I got under one block and i just teleported on top of it. All in all one of the better games i have played!

I also had the Mac bug, but that was by the end so no problem. This was foremost innovative, and secondly fun. Two of my favorite aspects, so great job. BTW, I feel like your game and mine have a lot in common even though they come from drastically different places. That's cool.

So the concept is pretty neat and I think with a little tweaking, there is a real gem of an arcade game here. The idea of solving the puzzle of tetris while dodging the pieces made me think of a construction worker (the player) shouting orders to people above and having to constantly dodge the pieces of construction being lowered. As an idea, this has great potential! Well done!

Pretty good game, the player moves a little too fast so its hard through get out of a 1x1 hole by jumping but I didn't see any other problems.

"Less is more" is for me the perfect quote for this game ^^
A simple idea, with simple graphics but visually rewarding, and simple and sweet audio :)

The concept is really awesome.
It's kinda innovative and enjoyable, and while the tetris part is already well known, the mix with the platformer element is just so well made that it would be a must have if you sold it someday.

I must say that this is a pretty genious approach for Tetris. It's a pretty fast game if it gets a little but clutterd (and it did get cluttered very fast due to my low talent ) Great work!

Heh, that was a surprising concept. Quite hard but once you start to get hang of it, it's actually quite fun. Great work!

This was a really neat take on tetris! I especially loved once I got past the first level and you had two things falling, that was great. I also really love how much personality you put into the jumps of the little box. Great submission!

Cool game- I didn't think anything could bring me back to the original frustration of Tetris and Dr. Mario. Looking through the comments- maybe a jump bug on Mac was the culprit- but I wonder if a grid behind the playing field would aid in planning those last minute jumps. Great job- and congrats on a tight compo entry! Good luck and thanks for the game!
