This is a fantastic little puzzle game. And, without a doubt, the best use of the theme I've seen so far. I really enjoyed it. Some of the shots are a little hard to make. Didnt feel like there was any consistent way to shoot the coin exactly where I wanted it to be while jumping. Something to note. Both the sound and the transition play twice on death. You introduce alot of neat tricks, I would like to see them be used together in more elaborate setups. Also, I wanted to eat all the coins at the end and bust. Too Short. I want to play more :)

@youpeoples Thank you for your comment and the feedback! We'll look into adjusting the coin shooting physics so it can land more predictably. We had so many ideas for more sophisticated levels but ran out of time (thanks Endgame and Game of Thrones!). But we're thinking about adding more levels soon in a post-jam version!

@ryan-brenner @amerigo-gazaway Thanks for the kind comments! We had a lot of fun making this game and might keep polishing it further :)

This is honestly an amazing use of the theme. Also, everything felt so polished, the character was adorable, the animations were crisp and clean, and everytime I failed I felt like it was my fault not some bug getting in my way. I also really liked how well thought-out the puzzles were, I played to the end and was sad it was over. I would love to see you develop this more, great job!

The gameplay has a really good rhythm to it. The puzzles with dropping and picking up coins are great and the game explains itself. Keep it up!

Omg I think this is one of my favorite entry so far! It's super fun and I love the level designs using the mechanic!
The one where you push the coin even further using more coins surprised me and I felt like there was so much potential for additional levels.

Amazing entry!

I've participated in Ludum Dare 4 times and I make an effort to play/rate a lot each time.

This is definitely the best LD submission I've played so far.

What an amazing concept, I would definitely buy this as a mobile puzzle game, just make the platforming controllers tighter and explore the HUGE ammount of possibilities this mechanic creates, congrats!

This is a really solid entry with a much more unique idea than most of the entries here. Beautiful pixel graphics too. The only critique I have is that the controls are a bit fiddly and I had a hard time executing the moves I wanted to do. Great work!

Very solid mechanic. Theme and art supported the mechanic perfectly. I especially like not using HUD to display how many coins you have, but have that information on the player character itself. Levels were of suitable difficulty. Good job!

Gotta say this is clearly the best designed game I have seen in this jam so far! :hushed:

This is amazing. I also worked on a game about a robot preserving resources, but this one went a totally different way and I really enjoyed it. The coin mechanics were totally clever, and used the platformer style really well. The visuals were charming, the audio was lively and supported the mood well, and the levels were all just the right mix of clever and increasingly tricky. Really loved this -- great work!

Really good level design! You created many puzzles through a few mechanics without getting the player bored.
Cute graphics and fitting sound. I also like the game idea, and how it is fitting the theme.
Really solid and well made entry.

This game is a really great idea with clever execution. The art, gameplay, animation, and soundtrack are all first-rate. I think this is one of the best games I played so far in this Ludum Dare. This team should pat itself on the back for a job well done!

My only critique is that the camera was kinda jerky for me and made me feel a little dizzy. That is something that might just be me but I thought I should mention it.

Overall, this is an awesome game!

Perfect. I think this has to be the best I've played so far. The graphics are beautiful and I love the attention to detail. The mechanic is brilliant - I had a similar idea originally and I'm really glad I didn't go ahead with it as your game would have outshined it easily! Level design was great too. First 5 star rating I've given. Really think you should flesh this out into a bigger game. I'd buy it.
