RUNNING OUT OF SPACE IN THE DEEP (IN)FINITE OCEAN by knarf
A game about a fish, running in circle in a jar. You decide to explore in search of empty space(x,y). Eat try to survive despise plastic particles and multiple dangers around. Arrows to move, Z to dash. R can be helpful to restart if it become laggy, I tried abused (consciensously) of GMS of particle system. There is a lot of features I would like to add but I had no time, started as compo and ending relaxed in Jam.
Some more explanation, trying not to spoil much, as the game could be confusing: The 4 first levels are just meant to gradually set some mood and context, and lead you to the "ocean"; it's supposed to be quite easy and doable until then, if you give it a chance. Also, the last level is bigger and may need some more seconds to load. Then your score, or actions, may trigger one of the 3 silly endings. Basically, the features I want to work on are just polish, juice, optimization and bug fixes, but I do not plan any big change with the gameplay :x
Hope you'll have fun anyway! There are 3 ending, and so much pollution we're running out of space !
(IDK why but i can't see the repo link so here it is : https://bitbucket.org/freaknarf/ld42/src/master/ feel free to use it to report bugs or suggestions !!!)

overall it might be fun game if you added features you are talking about in the future
The dash mechanic is super strong just because of how fast you go. With a nice juiced up camera system this would feel amazing!
Overall, I enjoyed playing this and it's an interesting one, good job!
Yep the game is pretty raw confusing and broken, it seems that's the way I'm making LD games. In another hand I'm pretty happy with it and some cool things that I've learn; I'm working on the post LD version that is starting to get better and closer to what was intended and I'm keeping the the core of the original work :) I've added some explanation with the post LD release, so I hope people could understand what's going on and have fun with it!
Cheers!
