I like the idea of the continuously randomizing level. Unfortunately in practice it doesn't actually do much because the player is incentivized to stay close, and more importantly; kill close enough for easy cash in's.

@evan-overly Thanks for playing! Yeah the randomized mazes made more sense in the early stages but the only way I could make the game challenging was by focusing in the center. Maybe moving the altar with the phase change would have been cool. Hmm.

Think the idea of randomising altar location could've been a good mechanic, as it is I quickly realised the best move is to just stand next to the altar mashing space and enter! Still, an interesting concept and well presented

Cool game!
I liked the audio and graphics, also the hack and slay worked great.
From the gameplay I see it as the comments above, a moving altar would make the gameplay much more intense.

I like this! The shrinking "safe area" is a clever mechanic, and the renegerating maze is neat - I agree it would've been interesting to have the altar respawn elsewhere. Good sound effects and visuals; I particularly liked the particle effect when you sacrifice something. Nice work.

Good game. Pretty interesting idea. Additional mechanics and weapons can be added to the game. Spawn other mobs. And different altars.

Really cool! I agree with torquil's idea that randomizing the altar would be really cool, and incentivize moving more. I was able to get 118 by sticking next to it, focus on throwing in bodies and spamming attack when necesary. I like the slow creep in difficulty, and the sound effects do a great job of being unsettling! (Although my roomate was very annoyed by them!)

Nice game, it got hard very quickly after being easy for a while. Would like to see more be added to this, like perhaps different types of enemies? Great job and good luck!

It was kind of addictive tbh!
